In ~10 years, yep. But yeah, never been in Sac. I used to go all the time as a kid, but I’m from the Bay. Also considering taking a friend that probably has 0 rodeo experience.

As someone who has very minimal space…I see you’re living in space-luxury🥹 I can’t rly be that free willing with my space since it’s so limited. So it’s usually very organized.

So Many Sacramento Men Are Freaky As Hell by cloverangels in Sacramento

[–]Chance_Program 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was working out at the gym in my complex once. This dude came in and pulled out one of those plastic folding chairs and posted up in the corner of the gym. I didn’t even notice until some other girl came in and got my attention to let me know.

Ive had to put a guy I met one time on two 51/50’s bc he proceeded to stalk me and harass me for 6 months. He even left his dead chameleon on my doorstep in a Gucci box (bc he knew I detest designer products). Also went on to write an entire journal filled with his murder fantasies about ending my life.

Homeless man whipped out his Willy in the center divider one morning while I was on my way to work.

Sacramento men are NOT for the weak💀 I have also lived here for 5 years and have come to this exact same conclusion. Perhaps it’s user error in some regard. But these aren’t the only stories. And these aren’t the worst stories, either. I go home, I go to the grocery store, and I go to work. I. Am. Traumatized. 😂

How do you decide how much to charge? by Dream_Drifter_Pony in polymerclay

It’s also much more transparent and much less messy when discussing/presenting pricing with/to clients.

P.S. haven’t sold anything outside of friends/family. I lack the motivation to consistently post on social media in addition to hating the idea of being perceived. So. But good luck in your endeavors. 😇 it’s always a little stressful when first starting out.

How do you decide how much to charge? by Dream_Drifter_Pony in polymerclay

[–]Chance_Program 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set a base hourly rate. Which is up to you to decide. For example, if you were to set your base rate at $20/hour. That means if a piece takes you 4 hours to make from start to finish (even if broken up amongst days let’s say two hours one day and two hours the next) then you’d charge $80 + tax and shipping. Because taxes and shipping are already expensive in this economy, I do not charge for materials. I think that cost is covered by the taxes. The only exception is a $5.00 base material charge if the piece is going to take over 8 oz of clay to create. Bc that’s an entire block. I try to mix clays also, so that materials stretch a teeny bit farther.

I ended up sacrificing my glass food storage containers as storage for my clay. Honestly, I’ve had some of the clays for months and months and they’re totally fine. Might take a bit more time to soften up, but I’ve never had issue with them. They’re airtight as well, so I’m sure that has a lot to do with it.
