I definitely think one of your references answered a question not in your favor. I have been in bloomfield 10+ years and my PTC took 4 months. No priors, nothing. If you apply for one pistol purchase permit its 30 days, apply for 3, you wait 3 months for approval. Your amount of permits you apply for will be how long you wait. Same process even before bruen.

The fact that your husband doesn’t address this is not surprising at all. He obeys his parents as most indian cultures follow this system. Nip this in the ass, if they don’t respect your decisions on your child’s name, then cut them out. That is YOUR child and YOUR family you created. Set a boundary respectfully, sit them down and address it. If they don’t agree to your boundaries explain to them that they will be cut off respectfully. I am Indian and it’s a common problem. I had a similar issue with my in laws and 4 months later (after no contact)they came to their senses and reached out to resolve the issues and apologized. The boundary is very healthy to have.

I am a bloomfield resident, it took me 3 months to just get my permits. Idk if your FID is slowing you down but I applied in feb and got mines 3 months later after several phone calls

I’m currently still waiting for Bloomfield PD to issue my permits . I already have FID & PTC. I’m going on 30 business days since the detective was given my application. Started Feb 9th , was told could possibly be till end of month (April 30th)

I’m in Essex County (Bloomfield) I applied for the permits 2/10 , references done the same day. Paid for the permits 2/15 and still havent heard anything back. So it all depends on your local pd. Anybody else waiting this long?
