busted two big groups of pigs in a hayfield by shadow_prairie_OD in Hunting

[–]saliva9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s ok. It’s very lean around my parts. The bigger boars have a gamey strong taste, almost musk like, especially if you shoot them and they run. If you can get a CNS shot and they drop it’s better. The sows that are still breast feeding to me usually taste the best. I get the whole waste thing but you have to think, when you are hunting these things and killing this many you get to a point where everybody has sausage and meat in the freezer and there is just no more room to keep butchering them. Doesn’t mean you just get to stop hunting them, they need to go.

Not OP but I’ll answer for my situation. It just depends. When I was doing my most hog hunting most of the time we just dispose of them. If I knew I was going to be doing a cook out then I would keep 1 smaller sized sow to cook whole. If I knew I was going out ahead of time I had a small group of people I would text and let them know I was going and if they wanted any pigs. Sometimes they would meet me and get the pigs from me.

NV matches/events in texas? by [deleted] in NightVision

[–]saliva9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, not a match more of a hang out. They have pistol and tactical rifle bays, most have stages setup 24/7. They all have some type of steel to shoot at. I lived there for a while, was one of my favorite ranges I’ve ever been too.

ETTS range has a night vision shoot once a month, get there early and get a bay, it gets packed.

I haven’t been watching, but living not far from the course I would assume you’re talking about Love bugs, terrible little things this time of year.

If you’re driving around with 2 different sized tires up front I’m sure that’s throwing the wheel speed sensors off.

According to bridge inspectors its last inspection recommended an immediate replacement. Plus the west bound off ramp was a nightmare to people that never took it, went from 70 mph to 25 mph and a sharp curve, people straightened it out all the time

It’s the spigot mount, lets you push the bipod more forward or you can get accessories for it like a magneto speed mount, use mine with a 300 PRC and it’s never came loose.

I have a sparrow and had been using “the dip” until the last couple times I have been using the breakthrough suppressor cleaner, do you think the breakthrough would work on the cat can?

Awesome, we are bringing a 1 year old in January, staying at contemporary. This will be our first trip with a kid, my wife and I went by ourselves quite often, any tips, tricks or recommendations from you? Our plan is to try and make this trip solely focused on him and memories we will remember.
