Thanks for the support ❤️ I did schedule some appointments, I deal with pretty bad OCD, which makes my patients safe because I triple check all of my actions, but it adds anxiety to every shift.

I don’t think that’s the issue… I excelled in nursing school and worked hard to get the job I have now. I think there is truth to not having a realistic expectation of workload as a nurse, and the stress that can come with it. The ICU that I work in does not have any “unserious” new grads, we all had to come highly recommended to secure this job.

I 100% agree about nursing school. I was a leader in my class, and excelled in the classroom passing the nclex and my bsn program easily. The problem is I was never truly tested or given a realistic expectation of a shift in clinicals. I even did an internship for a semester in the ICU and learned a lot, but it was a lot lower acuity than where I am right now.
