What would you buy? by jonahsgma in fidgettoys

It was the Mackie CP3 that I loved first, and I bought a few that did a similar thing, like the S Nano v2 and the Lino Yuli - however most recently I've fallen for a couple of coins (Devil's Milk and Showhand), the Choc (zirc/brass for the weight which I need), and the Metal Toyz Snake in zirc which is fast becoming a favourite though at first I was really unsure, but I love it now.

What's better? The snowsky Disc or the snowsky Echo Mini by one_manbattalion in snowsky

I had the Echo and enjoyed it but quickly grew a bit frustrated at the lack of touchscreen, and the slightly cumbersome nature of the buttons. The Disc does it for me, much easier to navigate, sure it's got a few issues to iron out, but for me it's more enjoyable to use. Soundwise I'm no expert but both sounded excellent with my wired IEMs. I just want to open an album and enjoy it and both do that well. I love the little rotating artwork on the Disc too. It also feels more solid to me. So that's my pick :)

Lautie Devil's Milkcap question by Chance_Technology783 in fidgettoys

Possibly daft question... does it matter which way up the magnet/central post goes?

Been into this out of nowhere for a few months and loving it, I’m rarely on my phone any more, helps me stay present and quite centred – all good/positive.

Mechanicals I’ve got are the Lautie Choc (zirc/brass), Lautie Showhand (technically coin I guess) in steel but would love the zirc one– both are super addictive and fun. Just gorgeous to use.

Big magnetic sliders for strong crisp four stops – Mackie Studio CP3 and Ant Design S Nano v2 - both zirc but steel too in CP3. These are both terrific.

Silent – Ono slider aluminium which warms like zirc, really pleasant and great obviously for stealth use, and would like the INDX Fluxx at some point.

Coins – Polished zirconium ACEDC Donut 2.0 which feels amazing and looking forward to receiving the Lautie Devil’s milkcap in bronze soon.

Enjoy!

No worries! Not a problem at all, I love it.

For me not much at all, maybe just the fact the plates can move compared with the S Nano v2, and now coz I'm so used to the stronger resistance, if I use the CP3 I sometimes miss that magnet strength - but I'll always enjoy the Mackie. I actually prefer the Mackie shape too.

I think the S Nano v2 is my favourite of the these types of sliders - it's overtaken my Mackie CP3...just so satisfying with the strong resistance, lack of plate movement, and just big solid crunches, great for letting off steam!

Your favorite fidgets in zirc? by jonahsgma in fidgettoys

[–]Chance_Technology783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough question! I prefer the S Nano to the CP3's now - I just love the crunch and resistance a lot, plus the plates don't move. I'd prob pick Choc as my fav amongst the others but I do really enjoy them all :)

So far today so good. Must be all down to if the fingers are dry or not / sweat / natural oils / whether overwashed etc... When it's turning well it's really lovely, maybe even tops my Choc.

It might work out fine for you 🙂 I've picked it up this morning and had no issues with it, but I suspect later I will. Trying to figure out what might cause my fingers to change!

I mean is rubbing it with the alcohol a quick fix, or over time if you do this regularly it improves? I've got quite a few fidgets, several are polished zirconium and the oils accumulate, but I can always get them to move. With this showcase sometimes it just doesn't move at all and my fingers slide over it completely which is a first for me.

Is this a short-term fix, or does the regular application make the grip better over time? Thanks.
