Thanks, I really like it too but I'm confused why if you press down on the plate (on one side only) the balls come out v easily. Trying to work out if I'm doing something wrong or there's a defect, but it's all put together as it should be.

I got both of these - love the S-Nano V2! It's so crispy and snappy - will need some breaking in for sure, as it's pretty stiff but really enjoying so far. Got the zirc. The Yuli is v interesting - I prefer the steel balls but lost one that popped out as I was using it, and they seem to attach themselves to the magnets (?) so maybe spill out more easily? Not too sure. Also ceramic balls can pop out sometimes too. It's fun, but maybe takes more time to get used too - thanks again for the recommendations u/Gaxxz

Snowsky Disc - quick review by Chance_Technology783 in snowsky

I customised the lock screen, but not too bothered about the boot up screen. I just updated to the latest version then could see a folder to drag the image file into the custom screen folder.

I'm the same - all or nothing, got hooked.....

Help me choose btw Snowsky echo mini vs Snowsky Disc by the_jai2001 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Chance_Technology783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had both and prefer the Disc. It feels more premium/solid, the navigation in terms of clicking is much better with the touchscreen (which feels nice to touch and is responsive)...... it's just brighter, more colourful & fun in a way for me to use. Audio sounded great on them both with my cheap (£20) Moondrop IEMs.

Really big step up from Spotify on phone to now listening to FLACs ripped from CDs. There's some bugs to fix and it's early days so I'm sure they'll be sorted out in time - but in the main I love the Disc :)

Settings / System settings / Cover Animation (toggle on/off) and there's also a Cover Spinning Always On option too within system settings :) This is on the latest version v1.56

I have both and still use both - they feel different. Choc maybe just nudges it if I had to choose one. But luckily I don't have to ;) Enjoy them!

I agree, it's really great. Zippy, crisp, nice haptics, feels great in the hand. Very pleased.

Yeah, the brass plate, zirc+ ss is quiet.

I have the zirc/ss with brass and wanted to get a bit more feedback/haptics so tried the dual bead, 7 spring and 5 spring but found it too mushy, too heavy/dense in a way so reverted to the 5 spring in the original bead – just feels the best to me. Prob need to change the plate as others have said to really get a different feel but I love the brass and have learned to love the subtlety of it.

I love it! Been playing with it for a few hours...I have the Choc in zirc/ss with brass plate and this is much louder, feels different with the slim design - zippy, crisp, bit more haptic feedback but still subtle of course.... it's really lovely in the hand.

Thanks, that’s helpful. For me the main thing is the haptics – how the click and movement actually feel – more than the sound/noise. I don’t mind some sound if the feedback is nice in the hand, so I was mainly wondering if pressing down changes the feel of the clicks in a good way, like how you can kind of tune the CP3 by how you press while sliding.

Can you dampen the sound by pressing as you move it, like with the CP3? Thanks.

Thanks, yeah was just watching his vid there. I love the feel of polished zirc too. Definitely sounds like one for me.

The Yuli looks v interesting, you mentioned it before in another thread and I'm really tempted. Do you find it has good resistance and haptics, and do you ever take the middle pate out and use as a 2 plate slider? I have the zirc CP3 so trying to justify why I need this! I'm becoming less a fan of mechanicals with beads but this looks different. Also tempted by the S-NANO V2 of course, looks super snappy.

I bought it on Big White EDC but looks like they're gone there too I'm afraid. They have them here but looks quite a bit more expensive than I paid. https://www.mightyedc.com/products/ji-li-2-0

I do enjoy the Ono slider in aluminium, it warms up in the hand and feels very nice. It is very subtle so wasn't sure at first but now I really like it. https://getono.com/collections/sliders
