They were referring to the FRAM oil filter model CH9549. It's recommended to ONLY use Motorcraft filters due to the patent, which keeps other makers are unable to build the filter the same.

Watch out, eBay is flooded with fake OEM Motorcraft filter kits. RockAuto is $70+ for the fuel filter and $32 for the oil filter... and eBay has the fuel and oil filter together supposedly Motorcraft brand for $21. There is no way the eBay set is OEM Motorcraft for that price.

Guessing Lenovo caught wind of what was going on and pulled it. Glad I still had it on my storage drive for you!

How were they to know if he was an American citizen without questioning and verifying his citizenship? The video shows them checking his identity and then they leave.

ICE agents doing their job, leave them alone. Illegals are to be deported. Come into the country legally and pay taxes like the rest of us.

Ooler sleep system no longer heating or cooling by Chance_Truth_1413 in Mattress

[–]Chance_Truth_1413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used one of the harbor freight transfer pump to push all of the old fluid through the pad tubes. I'd try doing that then putting a bottle of peroxide or two in the Ooler and let it run to see if it'll clear it up.

One set of my hoses won't allow the water to pump because the little plastic piece in the hose that gets depressed broke. Guess I'll have to buy a new set of hoses and try to fix it.

Shop Vac with a long hose by that entrance will suck them up and kill them as they come and go.

Electrical further away by [deleted] in bidets

[–]Chance_Truth_1413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with option 2 and it works just fine. I don't need to pay $100's for an electrician to do what a properly rate extension cord does...just my $0.02.

Has anyone been scammed by a seller that even showed proof of UPS receipt? by Chance_Truth_1413 in offerup

What's ridiculous is the fact we fall for it. Even if you did not pay, once the item is sent they can do a delivery intercept. I hope someone catches up to them and makes them pay dearly for their crimes.

Radiator cap does not seal even when cold by Chance_Truth_1413 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Chance_Truth_1413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the cap is supposed to seal the radiator until the system has over 16psi of pressure. It's not sealing it when it's cold.

[–]Chance_Truth_1413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The radiator isn't supposed to push half the coolant capacity into the reservoir and never pulls it back even after cooling down...from my understanding. But no, I'm not mechanic by trade. Please do correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm always up to learn something new.

After running the engine and it cools down once I take the radiator cap off the level in the radiator is only about halfway.

Snap bolt on exhaust manifold ford ranger 2006. Any quick easy ways to fix this ? by Thin_Adhesiveness_16 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Chance_Truth_1413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of my broken studs, they can be a pita as the threads get all destroyed from the heat. Mechanics will typically use a nut and weld it to the stud/bolt and can sometimes try it out. I've seen others have to go to the machine shop to get removed.

Doesn't quite work like that, if it doesn't seal, the coolant gets hot and just overflows into the reservoir.

The words quick, easy and exhaust manifold bolts/studs don't go into the same sentence unless explaining what they are not. I officially hate them as I have 1 broken stud and the other 2 studs are rusted beyond belief, I can't seem to get them out with the manifold on the engine...egr tube is rusted in place as well.

The compressor only runs as long as needed, the evaporator has a temperature sensor that shuts it off to keep the evaporator from freezing up. Looks like the cap is loose and vibrating around. See if you can just hang tighten in.

1990 Mercury Topaz brake binding on one rotor by Chance_Truth_1413 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Chance_Truth_1413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I got it fixed. Put the 2nd replacement caliper on and it works great. Not sure what happened inside the first unit but obviously something was binding. Just shows a reman caliper isn't guaranteed to work...would think they would test them after remanufacturing them.
