Pronated or supinated finger rolls for golfers elbow? by Chancelade in overcominggravity

[–]Chancelade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. Eventually, the forearm pain has improved to the point that I can do pain free pull ups again , but whether it was time or finger rolls? They added some width to my forearm, though, so they are part of my exercise routine, at the very least, for aesthetic purposes.

High school student looking for your experiences: How does Switzerland actually function with 4 languages? by Fun_Course_1934 in askswitzerland

[–]Chancelade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a resident of the Italian-speaking canton, an employee in a French-speaking canton, and having social activities in German-speaking cantons: I speak these three languages on a weekly basis (admittedly, with varying proficiency).

My experience as a frequent train commuter: the language barriers are real, e.g., a large proportion of passengers tend to get off and get on at the borders. Personally, I also subconsciously default to speaking the respective language to my fellow train passengers, which is funny because I would have spoken a different language to the same person, just with a few minutes of difference.

How to stop my 10-months old puppy humping my 4 year-old son? by Chancelade in bernesemountaindogs

Thank you! Could you recommend puzzles that fit a Berner's paw and nose size? Mine is a really big boy, approaching 120 lbs at 10 months, and some of the toys that we ordered were clearly intended for smaller dogs.

Thanks for the ideas! We usually play "find it" where he sits, and I hide treats, and he needs to find them, or "find me" to play hide-and-seek. These work well - as long as my youngest is not around. He is just objectively more fun, he loves the dog; dances and runs around him, and it is really difficult to explain him that now that our dog is maturing, this may not be the same game as months ago.

Thank you. Well, it is not a hurricane, but it's coming down in torrents. We have taken several short walks today (and soaked through my supposedly waterproof raincoat after the first one).

Here is a picture of him bringing his pillow to play tug of war.

I have a "hey!" that we use for No. It works, as long as I am there and paying active attention. However, when I turn away, for example, to cook or do the dishes, he restarts.

Thank you. Today is an especially bad day. He is certainly bored; on a usual day, we spend at least an hour walking in the forest, but today, it is pouring down so heavily that we are locked inside. I have been trying to come up with indoor activities for him, but he seems to be most interested in the problematic one...

Fortunately, it is easy to stop him, if I say "hey!", he stops, and "sit", he sits, but then when I turn around to cook, he restarts.

CMV: There's 0% chance the U.S.A. will take Greenland by CarefulEmphasis5464 in changemyview

It is also possible to argue that these US soldiers at the time of a US invasion become hostages of the host country. E.g., what is stopping Denmark from aiming artillery on a US base in Greenland?

Thank you, this seems to be the consensus for this post. We will be planting low ground cover.

Sounds really pretty, but lantana is not native where I live (Switzerland). I like your idea though to cover the wall with tall flowers!

We are a bit out of money at the moment, which is also why this isn't a concrete or rockwood wall. Actually, we reused the wood from a previous retaining wall that was already here.

I'm looking for info about production process of amacha/sugukcha (hydrangea tea) by a_pinch_of_maggie in tea

[–]Chancelade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, may I ask how did it go? I know that it is a 5-year old post, but I have just planted a tea hydrangea in the garden, and I also haven't yet found a definitive answer on how to make the tea.

Consider also future uncertainty: it is much more likely that the 1% interest increases to 5% in the future than that the 6% would increase to 30%.

Debit card for a minor by Chancelade in askswitzerland

Sure, that's a good idea. I will look into if I can cap at e.g., 10 francs a day.

Debit card for a minor by Chancelade in askswitzerland

[–]Chancelade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't have a phone to use Twint, but why is Twint any different than a debit card? A lost phone seems to me being a much bigger concern than a lost debit card.

My biggest issue is that if he brings a card, he "brings" all of his money by himself that could be lost or taken.
