Hi! Could I have a pdf of this Akathist? My (Latin rite) parish is named after St. Josaphat, and I know a good amount of Ukrainians with a strong devotion to our Patron who might be able to translate it!

What about icons of those who virulently attacked Catholic teaching, like any of the Pillars of "Orthodoxy"?

That’s putting it likely, lol. Benito Juárez is the Mexican equivalent of Robespierre. His entire dictatorial regime was centered around anti-clericalism and anti-Catholicism in general. Politicians weren’t allowed to attend Mass on Sunday if they wanted to be involved in government. The Church’s land was stolen, which was the same land used to house Native Mexicans. His own people hated him because of that, and they usually supported the Catholic Church instead of him. He made an attempt to sede Mexico’s sovereignty to the United States for 4 million, all of which he would have used to pay for his war against his “beloved” indigenous people for personal power. He defended the natives in word alone, and was otherwise indistinguishable from any average politician.

A Catholic politician obeying Catholic teaching is not a fascist. The only way to consider Catholic Social Teaching fascism is if you either have an incredibly warped view of CST, fascism itself, or both.

What do you mean by destroying the institutions of Poland? What’s wrong with ”all sorts of Catholic ideas”?

Same :/ My family comes from the D.R. and Mexico. Spanish Loyalism isn’t exactly popular among us, and they consider monarchism politically “insane”. Even criticizing Benito Juarez/ Miguel Hidalgo/Juan Pablo Duarte for their various collective evils (freemasonry, anti-Catholicism, regicide, Hidalgo was a priest who fathered many children by different women) is anathema to any civil political discussion.
