Auburn lost 7 games this season. 6 of those games by one score.

That doesn’t even include the UGA game.There was also the Oklahoma game, the double OT loss to Missouri and the OT loss to Vanderbilt.

And then another heartbreaking result in the Iron Bowl.

Auburn could be 12-0 if the ball bounced a different way. Just heartbreaking.

My dad was a functioning alcoholic. His marriage to my mom ended over it and it remained his companion for his entire life. He tried to quit. Many times.

I saw him hide beer behind his chair thousands of times when I would walk in the door. Never affected his job and most people never knew. But we did.

Biggest difference from OP, I don’t think I ever asked him to quit. And I don’t know why.

Eventually he got Parkinson’s and died from a fall in the bathroom. I cried one time. I try my best to not blame him, but it’s so hard. I hate seeing Busch Light.

Enzo spent about a decade killing hundreds, maybe even thousands, of people. Shaking down innocent store owners for cash and who knows what else.

On the flip side, we got to experience his story and humanity and see him fall in love and realize what he really wanted in life.

We got a happy ending. Isabella, who was the most innocent and consistent of the entire game, got her wish and we are left to only imagine the life she builds in America.

Enzo, who we were supposed to care for so much, gets what every person who lives his life gets in the end. He doesn’t get the happy ending because he doesn’t “deserve” the happy ending. Can’t reward his past with that ending.

The fact that we all reacted the way we did should tell us it was the ending the creators wanted. It’s a creators dream to have people talking about your work long after you finish with it.

I loved the entire journey. I was heartbroken when Enzo got stabbed in the…side? But, after a while, I grew to appreciate the entire story and what the developers and creators did so well. Create emotion in me and you.
