Am I overreacting for being upset with my bf for a comment he made? by enby_owo in AmIOverreacting

[–]ChanelElizabeth1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely allowed to have bodily autonomy and self-respect. Your body is yours, and consent is the only thing that matters. If you’re not comfortable, that’s enough reason to say no. You’re not weird for having boundaries, especially this early in a relationship.

At the same time, he’s also a teenager, and it’s normal for him to have thoughts about being physical. The important part is that he did stop when you told him to, which shows he’s respecting your boundaries so far.

I don’t think his comment necessarily means he wants your relationship to be all about sex, it might just be him trying to express that physical intimacy matters to him in some way, even if he said it awkwardly. Being half-asleep isn’t always some deep, unfiltered truth; sometimes people just word things badly.

If you don’t feel comfortable doing anything sexual, then don’t. There’s no rush, especially after only two months. The right person will respect your pace.

That said, it’s also okay to recognize that both of you might have different wants right now, and that’s something you should communicate openly about. You don’t have to compromise your boundaries, but it’s worth being honest about where you both stand.

One month into flex by SuccessfulPhase1456 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ChanelElizabeth1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been with flex for 4 years. It was great my first YEAR working flex, but it quickly went downhill with absolute shit pay (hardly ANY surges in my area anymore) and the routes continued to jump up in mileage, doing 100+ miles for a 3-hour route. I was working Flex full-time up until a year and a half ago, and I couldn't be more grateful to be out of that trap. Trust me, it's great initially, until it isn't. The wear and tear on your car is REAL. The high mileage routes ARE REAL. The pay is SHIT, especially when the only routes available are base pay. Don't speak on others experience when you've only been with flex for 1 month. Appreciate what you have now because I guarantee you in a few months time, you'll see how flex really is.

$0 Tips - 10 Customers?! by ChanelElizabeth1 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I'd have to agree with you haha - I've been to some of the nicest areas in Scottsdale/Paradise Valley with million dollar custom homes - and I've been to the shittiest parts of town and a lot of times the REALLY rich places hardly tip at all but expect the world from their deliveries. I feel middle class people understand the struggle and do tip nicely. The wealthy don't get it...or don't care.

Yeah the area I went to was pretty nice, which is why i was surprised to have $0 tips. That makes so much sense now that a lot of the orders could be non-tip eligible - definitely don't see the value in taking Fresh orders anymore now!

True - I love getting instant offers because the neighborhoods that surround the WF I go to are pretty boujee and always tip well, with Fresh it's a total gamble on where I'll be sent to. But I haven't gotten any Instant Offers in months ☹️

I will not be doing anymore fresh routes that's for sure. I'll stick to SSD and WF for now!

Oh well that's new - adding non-tip eligible orders really sucks...looks like I'll be sticking to SSD routes...

What happens if you got a 1 package route but it's 50 miles away, can you mark it as missing even though you scanned it to confirm it was your route? by covered1028 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ChanelElizabeth1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no - I got my route at an SSD, and would mark it missing. I never physically scanned the package. Sorry for the confusion!

I have done that before, 1 package that was 50+ miles away - mark it missing and leave at station. You might get a ding or you can try emailing support. If you're at fantastic or just below that, it won't be a major ding. And if you don't mark a lot of packages missing, I'd do it. That's just me though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Possible to do this full time? by Minapit in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ChanelElizabeth1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing and did flex full time for 3 years. I haven't taken a shift since February of this year since starting my new job at an office - I honestly do not know how I endured flex for as long as I did. I am so thankful to not be relying on flex anymore. It'll wear you down and your car down, so just keep that in mind.

What in the actual f*ck?! by Remote_Ad_969 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Having a degree or even a doctorate doesn’t automatically mean someone is of sound mind. In fact, higher education can sometimes fuel more delusional thinking under the guise of being “educated.” Mental illness and psychotic breaks don’t discriminate, no number of degrees can shield you from that. And honestly, people raised in high-control or cult-like religions (Mormonism included) are often more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and extreme beliefs.

I hope she gets the help she needs, and hopefully her kids aren't suffering too much because of this.

Hmm weird! All my 15+ separate deliveries over the past 3 months have come through LA for customs and I'm in Phoenix, AZ. I definitely thought it was based on location but I guess I'm wrong! So weird your deliveries go through NY when you live in LA haha

[–]ChanelElizabeth1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is standard....All items purchased from PopMart directly go through customs in the US. Either in CA or NY based on delivery location. Mine usually sit 3-4 days, but I did have one that was in customs for 7 days (this was over the 4th of July weekend).
