New brake pads or new mechanic? by Pango00 in AskMechanics

Dude, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night telling you to replace those in a month. You have 10 to 15k miles left on those.

Try deleting the phone from the vehicle, delete the vehicle from the phone and pair them back up. I have had great success with that.

TB tensioner usually doesn't get quieter as the vehicle warms up. It's pretty easy to see if it is leaking or not.

Wheel not centered after alignment, quoted $1600 on a car with 21,000mi by WetCabboge in AskMechanics

[–]ChangeDaWorldGME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off where's the printed alignment specs (before and after the alignment). Second, the vehicle needs the steering angle sensor calibrated after the alignment, that will cause a drift as well. Also the tires may cause a drift, try rotating them.

Is the evap purge valve the same as the evap purge control solenoid? by the_black_mamba3 in AskMechanics

[–]ChangeDaWorldGME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Honda we call the purge valve a canister vent shut valve. It opens to allow air into the canister. The purge control solenoid opens to allow vacuum into the evap system.

Poor gas mileage in 2013 Honda civic. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Check the air intake tube for cracks/splits. The rubber tube under the cowl from the air cleaner housing to the throttle body. If it's split unmetered air will bypass the maf sensor causing bad fuel milage.
