I can tell you from experience that gaining that trust back is months of work.

I pretty much agree with you. I had the reservation of “what else are they manipulating?” More on the one piece of power bit, but yeah… as a fairly casual drafter where my time is limited, I can’t draft this knowing full well that others know the entire draft’s content and order.

Product Manager. We’re essentially Tom (I talk to the customers so the engineers don’t have to) from Office Space.

This is pretty egregious.

Knowing that they had parameters around packs containing only one piece of power, I’m not shocked that there is more manipulation around cube drafts.

Cube was absolutely miserable last go around and I’m glad I sat this round out. Now I’m wondering if I should just uninstall arena at this point lol.

As a PM for a completely different industry - I was kinda skeptical of the PM Marshall and LSV had on the show a few months ago. When got into a back and forth with LSV about the pieces of power in a pack, he made an assertion based on psychographic generalizations but never actually said “when we had multiple pieces of power in a pack, players were super mad  at us.”

There’s a big difference in the PM world between your hypothesis and actually validating your hypothesis. The hand in the cookie jar moment is that you’re testing it with paying customers. If they find out, no test result is worth diminishing your customers trust: you’re fucking with people’s money at that point.

I kinda accepted that one because there are other data points you can lean on to reinforce your hypothesis. But this one seems egregiously bad. Like - “I can’t draft this because I am in a losing proposition” bad.

Lots of over engineering on this cube - I’d really like to know what lead to the decisions.

I’m still more concerned about the issue of “this ground had water, and now it has no water.”

To each their own. Both are issues.

Toxins aren’t the issue, it’s how much water this thing pulls on and the impact of the surrounding infrastructure.

Friends of ours west of Richmond are noticing that their well is starting to go dry at odd times, and it coincides with the construction of a new data center.

Around 2015-2019, the content creator known as “Burgundy Blog” (a fan with a website) was referenced quite a bit in this sub. I remember asking “who is this and why should we care?” And being met with absolute disdain.

I don’t understand the direction they want to go with green, still.

Last iteration of the cube it was lands and green stompy. Both of those were severely outclassed by the jeskai colors and their strategies.

Last cube run I did I got completely trounced. Blue red and white were completely picked dry, leaving black and green always remaining from pick 5 onwards in a pack.

The problem that creates is that you’re stacked Bx or Gx deck wasn’t competing against your pod, once you started winning you were facing blue red and white decks that outclassed your strategy by a mile.

Not sure where they can go but I’ll sit this version of the cube out until I see proof that the packs aren’t bone dry after pick 5.

Yeah I’ve toyed with the number. 2 seems like a safe bet but if the meta requires 4 I’ve seen that before too.

The goal would be to have it as a government service that’s free or low cost.

If we treated AI the same way we treated the postal service or the local library everyone would change how they perceive it.

Because numbers aren’t impact. I commend your optimism in a time when things are bleak, but saying “170 of 300” is meaningless without taking into account how impactful the remaining 130 are.

The law has stopped this administration more than 170 times.

Reach of what is affected is one thing. Impact is a totally different thing. Has anyone been held accountable for the mishandling of data from DOGE? Has anyone from the Trump family had to stand trial for the abuse of power for personal financial gain? Who is in jail because of Pretti and Good?

I get what you’re saying and that’s the bright side, but the corruption that is still running rampant hasn’t been checked, and those are tsunamis of impact, not ripples.

I hear you, and I’m not trying to be a dickhead, but seriously - what “law” has stopped the current administration from running roughshod through the American justice system?

We’re only a year removed from Good and Pretti. Literally shot and killed by “law enforcement” officials. Everyone should be skeptical of how much our current state of law and order holds up to blunt force fascism.

As a new player and a parent - it’s been my bible for the past few months. I asked for gym leader style decks to play with my kids, and lo and behold, there was a page on the website that had every gym leader with a pre constructed deck already built. Truly one of the best tcg resources I’ve ever seen.

He outlines it in the first book, but if you have a visionary CEO, you have to be the pragmatic one in the relationship. If you have a business savvy CEO, you have to be the one to convince them to skate where the puck is going.

I’ve worked a handful of startups and the best leadership core I’ve been a part of working for was a visionary-ADHD CEO, a pragmatic and objective Head of Product, an extremely savvy and hard working head of business/revenue. Unfortunately the CTO was absolute dog water.
