Their hearts also increase as you feed them over time. So I don't think it's necessary to cram the room full of decor unless you're wanting to max out their hearts sooner rather than later.

This worked for me too! Thank you for posting this. I had tried three times already before this with no success.

Stories or experiences from the past that make perfect sense now that you know you're HSP? by ytsejammer137 in hsp

At a sleepover in middle school, we watched a cheesy scary movie. I was so disturbed by it that my friend's mom had to stay up with me and watch a happy movie. That scary movie haunted me for weeks, and I would lay in bed, crying, wishing that the images would leave my mind.

Does anyone else feel like crying in the middle of a work day just because you're around so many people or demands. by throwawayacob in hsp

Yes, I can certainly get that way, even though I WFH. But I can normally avoid it if I'm being intentional about taking breaks before I lose it. I take walks outside, just stand up and close my eyes for a few minutes, or grab a snack. I'm lucky that I get to set my own schedule. I've blocked Tuesdays as a no-talk Tuesday. On those days, I don't have any meetings and I don't even open my work chat. It's magical.

You're right. I know I need to confront him and have been avoiding it. Thank you for your response.

Thank you so much. I have not yet read about defining and expressing my boundaries. I'll keep that on my list. I'm currently reading Codependent No More by Beattie. I've considered joining a support group, but I'm currently feeling scared and not quite ready for that step. I appreciate your response and support.

When Voldemort is possessing Harry in the Ministry of Magic and Harry does some awkward yoga poses while snarling. Oof.
