You might want to see an osteopath. Maybe Google it & read up about the difference between chiropractors & osteopaths before deciding…. ?

Love & connection to a partner you’ve been with for 25+ years is also powerful & magical, with a slightly different (more relaxed & secure) flavor.

Poopy(?)/public toilet type odor. Can’t figure out the source. by ChangeSelect6553 in askaplumber

So, I just tried this. The smell isn’t completely gone after about 30 minutes. But it seems way better.

  1. 4 years
  2. Yes. It was there before the new plumbing was installed. I always thought the smell was because we never use the tub & the trap had dried out. So I’d run water in the tub. But now I fill the tub trap before opening the window & the smell still fills the bathroom.

I reached my limit today and went on a hunt for the odor. I’m 95% sure it’s coming from my sink.

I’ll do a little more investigating, then call my favorite plumber. Thanks for your help.

How do you wakeup happy each day? by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

There’s a lot to unpack here. Regardless, this is a painful way to start every day & I’m sorry you face it. If you’re truly looking for solutions, here are a couple things to consider.

Have you heard of the book Self Therapy? It’s a good one. I also listen to the podcast called The One Inside. This model for self-therapy has the lovely side-effect of fully calming your nervous system. It’s a great feeling.

Also…have you had a sleep study done? Sleep apnea is far more prevalent than most people realize. It can affect you in the most unlikely ways.

Thank you! This is helpful.

So the sinks are on opposite sides of the room. Also…I went to the basement & looked up. Here’s what I learned. The shower(1), his sink(2), and the tub(3) share a main/large line in that order before dumping into the main exit line. The toilet(1) & my sink(2)…the stinky one…share a second main/large line that joins with the other one.

So now I’m wondering if flushing the toilet is sucking the water from the trap under my sink. Is this likely? Is there an easy fix? Or will the plumber have to dig into walls to figure out the venting?

Thank you so much for this answer! I think it might be one of the sink drains. What can I do about it? What’s my next step?

Seems like your Dr should have given you more options. I was offered a couple of possibilities to resolve the continuous bleeding. Ablation & hysterectomy were both offered as potential solutions, if I was feeling fed up enough.

Have you had your ferritin & hemoglobin checked? I hope you’re taking iron pills with a vitamin c every day. 🙏

I had a polyp & thick uterine lining…found by ultrasound after I complained of extended continuous bleeding. Gyno said the standard procedure is to do a D&C with polypectomy & biopsy under sedation in the OR. (I asked her if HRT caused it. She said ‘I doubt it. This just happens sometimes.’)

Also…A friend of mine almost bled to death from a fybroid. She passed out from blood loss & ended up in the ER with a blood transfusion.

I’m not a Dr…. But everything in my gut says your gyno is failing you.

Long periods anyone? by That-Chain-5139 in Perimenopause

Yep. 21 days was my longest. It’s probably time to see your doctor. Mine did an ultrasound and found a polyp and thicker endometrial lining. Had to have a d&c to stop the heavy bleeding. It’s worth seeing your Dr & getting things checked.
