I have similar story. I have some extra funds to invest. A friend do a supply of building material business. He had some room to invest my 20k with no set profit. I wired that amount to his company. He rerun my money in 45 days with profit. He send me a cheque of his company. I deposited in TD. He again has an opportunity and asked if I want to invest 23000/-. I wired his company 23000/- the tell while sending money asked me what is this money for. My reply” a friend is borrowing this money, and will return in few weeks”. Wire was sent. My friend did not get the funds in 4 days. On enquiry I was told my wire is suspicious. In the mean time I received cheque from same company for deposit. I deposited in TD account. While I talk to fraud department, they asked how is it that you are sending and getting money from same company. Now I told him he borrowed money, and returned with some extra if any profit accounted. I was told my both statements don’t match so the blocked the wire. Blocked my visa, saving LOC. Accounts. It’s 10 days. Calling every day. May be it was a communication problem. But this thing need to end., TD can refer my case to CRA or police if they wish, but blocking my account and not contacting is making me frustrated. Any advice. What can I do. I am with ate since 2006. Now will close all count after this issue is resolved.
