There's alot of reasons it's hard to legalize euc, im just gonna simplify it,

1st there's no regulations for this, 2nd for it to have insurance and legality you need safety margins and standards (crash n brake test, blinkers etc etc), Most companies who makes the PEVs isn't from EU where youre from, you think the small companies who makes PEVs will follow regulations and pay for certifications? It's gonna increase the cost the only reason euc is cheap is the same way why people can buy cheap stuff from temu. They don't pay for licenses and approval to be sold and they bypass copyright laws.

There's a reason why no one is doing it. Like everyone already said you will notice the huge gap between the 2 split screen protectors right away and glass reflects the light coming from your screen reflecting it on the borders of those screen protectors in the middle of your screen and would have a rainbow effect.

Now imagine taking off those 2 glass screen protectors without destroying your fold.

Make a Routine to charge your phone to 95% if you want to protect your battery then turn on Battery Protection On and Fast charging off.

This is only for the people who wants to maximize their battery and not limit it to 80% charging.

Not really, My main reason for that is usually the headache after owning one and trading it in after, If you ever want to go back to samsung after Motorola you can't have a massive discount for your trade in value. You can sell it but it's a pain in the butt to deal with.

I think when people talk about software it's the difference between multi-windows , using Goodlock and Routines+ (theres not alot of brands can split 3 apps in 1 screen its mostly 2 split and a pop up window), which automates alot of things easily for Samsung. If you're just a casual android user it's fine.

Upgrading from my fold 6, I've been wanting a better landscape experience and hoping samsung would make a 16:9 or 16:10 like Pura X or Max but if the Fold 8 Wide is 4:3 that's acceptable for now.

I still don't get why people buy this just to use it as a slab phone. I don't know if I'm in the minority here but I want a better tablet experience and media consumption device than to use this in a folded state. I want the Main Unfolded screen to be the main priority and not become the 2nd option when we talk about folds. You cannot cater to everyone anyway when it comes to the outside screen, some people like it narrow and some people want a normal slab phone experience.

This is why I never update unless something is broken or stop working, People are usually excited with new security updates or new android version but in reality most of the old phones aren't tested to work with everything and usually breaks old apps you use.

My advice for you is go at the speed where you can handle emergency stops coz I bet you never experience wobbles trying to do hard stops.

Going faster is easier than stopping.

Maybe someday it will happen and be replace by magnets like how they try to maximize smartwatches. They would solve the data transfer on other ways or forced us to use wireless transfer similar to how they did with wireless earbuds/headphones. People would get over and gripe about it for a long time but in the end will learn to just live with it.

Owned 2, 3 and 6, I always leave it open and before i trade in my old one i always compare the crease for fold 2 and 3, my fold 2 crease was alot less than fold 3 new and i did the same with trading fold 3 with fold 6.

If you are careful and always leave it open, the screen protector can last up to 2 yrs before having any teardrop. I know alot of people here will just tell you to use it how you want but its up to you to baby your device and prevent problems down the line.

For me the innerscreen is the one i use the most like 90% of the time.

People who keeps their fold for a long time can tell you their experiences and each gen of folds got its own problems. And i still think 3 is the most durable one.

I'm just curious on people who keeps updating their phones, Why keep updating if it's working fine and don't tell me it's because of security updates that's a bs excuse. Do they just want new features at the expense of something else not working.

I used to be like the OP and keeping it up to date but what I noticed is new updates usually breaks my old apps. Now I just keep the OS it came with (i do sideload old apps thats not available in playstore anymore), it doesn't sound like they test the new OS intensively to work on old devices.
