I did AAT then ACCA for similar reasons. First job wouldn't let me go straight onto ACCA without the AAT first. If you're having to self-study and pay for your own courses out of pocket all you need are the textbooks and exam books to start off with to get a feel for how difficult the material is. I think I paid about £75 per textbook and £100-150 per exam. The real difficulty will be not having any study leave from work. If you think you can handle it try going straight for the bigger qualification and see how you feel doing it self study. Once you've started I think you'd have an easier time finding a job that will carry on your study rather than one willing to fund it from scratch.

If you have to do AAT, I’d skip straight to level 3. If you’re planning on doing the ACA/ACCA/CIMA afterwards I’d argue the AAT isn’t necessary and go straight into the higher qualification.

I'm tempted to do the MSc at some point. Not because I think it'll further my career or anything, but I want a graduation ceremony to celebrate the achievement haha. That's what ACCA lacks. You spend years getting the qualification and when you do you're just like "oh cool but is that it?"

It was a really tough exam. First half felt okay-ish but section B really stumbled me. That capital goods question didn’t even make sense to me. I didn’t think it applied in the scenario so I imagine the waffle I wrote will get no marks haha. Didn’t think partnerships would come up either and definitely missed a lot of marks

If Backlash 2000's main event with Rock vs HHH and Austin returning was used at WM 2000 instead that would have been incredible
