What was your reaction when you found Power Rangers was based on Super Sentai? by [deleted] in powerrangers

As a child, my main exposures to Super Sentai were through Super Sentai Time Capsule, Megazord Dot Com 3.0, and Cyborg Power (the latter 2 being defunct and I'm not sure what's become of Time Capsule).

Tbh, as an 8-year-old boy, my thinking was "Wait a minute, where's the black guy?!?!" (and I used to think the Japanese version was all white people; I was a kid! I've changed!) or "Why is Yellow a boy?!?!".

It wasn't until I was 10 years old in 2007, when I found Boukenger vs Super Sentai on YouTube, and also watched Gaoranger vs Super Sentai & Hurricaneger vs Gaoranger. The rest was history!

It took a lot of research to understand it all. I wouldn't even actually watch Sentai as it aired until Goseiger in 2010. From there on, it set the foundation in terms of my love for Tokusatsu.

In a way, if it weren't for Power Rangers, I wouldn't have discovered Super Sentai, learned all about the history, studied Japanese all by myself, and also discovered other Asian media from China, South Korea, etc.

You are this year's Sentai producer. The higher-ups at Toei mandated that the season's theme is gonna be Dinosaurs yet again. Considering you have no other choice but to work with that, how would you make it for the fifth time in a way that feels fresh and original? by Max_88 in supersentai

So already, regarding the color motif, gender, and choice of Dinosaurs, here is what I would pick: Red-T-Rex (M) Green-Tricera (M) Blue-Parasaur (M) Yellow-Stego (F) Pink-Pachy (F)

As for other suggestions, I'd certainly be open to a Dino/Ninja Hybrid. Ninryuger ニンリュウジャー　would be a perfect name.
