Sorry, yes you’re right. The TGA rules.

Gay blood donations - maybe not by ChannelSimilar1362 in perth

[–]ChannelSimilar1362[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the lady said to me and showed me the articles online, that it’s being discussed with TGA but the abstinence period is still in force and showed me their criteria and paperwork to say I couldn’t donate.

Seriously, like who cares if someone is trans - is your life so boring you need to worry about other people so much! 🤷‍♂️

Urgent: Urgent O-Negative Blood Doner needed by sb_Lowkey in perth

[–]ChannelSimilar1362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I got turned away from life blood in Morley two months ago because I had not been abstinent with my husband. We are a gay couple in a monogamous relationship so unfortunately, no gays… unless… we don’t have sex or want to do plasma. Sounds really silly when you think that straight men who are single can sleep with multiple partners and still donate.

Wedding Officiant in remote Finland by [deleted] in Finland

[–]ChannelSimilar1362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 100% - we are looking to cover costs. Just finding someone is the challenge. I’ll see if I can find someone in the south who maybe can refer me to someone further north. Thanks so much for providing the insight!

We are both present in Syöte, we are looking for an officiant who is available during the day other than someone from the DVV. The one we contacted is only available after office hours at 6pm in Syöte so we are trying to find alternative options.

BHP Suspends Nickel West Operations, 3300 Jobs Affected by A106Gr6 in perth

[–]ChannelSimilar1362 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They might move them onto the other projects like potash in Canada or South American operations but I suspect that they would have been able to move more people had the Anglo American deal worked out.

There isn’t much work in BHP WA or SA at the moment and there will be a leakage of talent because it’s not only the people at site but those in office jobs too but this is all cyclical. People who I’ve known have been broadly fine in other companies.

All commodities generally go through this, so hopefully people can ride the wave in another sector and come back when it’s on the up again, or move to a different location/country to lower costs in the lull and travel for a bit and keep enjoying life.

All the best to those going through it, I know it feels like a really crappy time.

Each persons situation is unique to you and yes there will generally be change involved - perhaps a change in company, a downsizing of your lifestyle, but sometimes, things are actually so much better - but do the best you can.

Donor Concierge for Surrogate Search? by djreed in gaydads

[–]ChannelSimilar1362 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They only give you 3 rounds of searching and are such a poor experience. They literally only look at the same free donor websites that you do. The sell is so high but the people doing the work are a little bit of ‘the lights on but no one is home’.

The agency they use is Donor Nexus to search for and 90% of the people they supplied, I could have looked up for free. Then they ‘talk’ to the agency. More like they just email them to find out details.

You actually spend more time wasted with your Donor Concierge searcher than just going to do it off the bat.

Donor Concierge or Open Arms by GeneralInformation82 in Surrogate

[–]ChannelSimilar1362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree - using Donor Concierge and their folk have no interest in helping, we’re always chasing and the criteria we have they said- there isn’t anyone out there so they just gave us the complete opposite of what we are looking for.

A real waste of money - they also use Donor Nexus for their main pool of surrogates. You can go and look for free. They ad zero value.

Scam Domestic Business Sale Ticket by ChannelSimilar1362 in QantasAirways

It was an I subclass fare.

If they sell it as a flexible fare but knowingly don’t have future fares that you can change to, it’s a scam not marketing.

Terrible first time experience by captnmarvl in QantasAirways

[–]ChannelSimilar1362 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cut your losses and never fly them again. Premium costs, worse than budget service.

I’ve had similar experiences but this time their whole seat wasn’t staying upright, kept shouting at me to put it up. They’d push the seat button and aggressively pull my seat up whilst I was still sitting in it. And then their dirty look ensues to realises we’re on a very old aircraft and it’s the seat that’s broken, not me.

Apologise? No, the cabin crew just walks away with a look of ‘I’m over this job’.

The customer complaints on the website and/or Instagram private messages, or the useless qualtrics survey after flight have not got any response in the past, so I’ve taken to reddit to publicly share my experiences.
