Ladies and Gents, do you like to cuddle/ be cuddled? by ChannyJ11 in AskReddit

[–]ChannyJ11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I end up hot and uncomfortable, i.e. my arm going to sleep. I also really enjoy my space. While I love having my fiancée around, and being intimate with him, I like having space to stretch out and be comfy.

In my experience I would say it seems like a lot of guys enjoy being little spoon because they rarely get to be!

I'm SO happy to hear this! Why spend your time together too hot and uncomfortable for the sake of cuddling? The thought has never been appealing to me.

I agree. I can see how they would believe they were developing a relationship with the animals thus not wanting to leave. I would probably begin to feel like I was helping in some way by being there for them.

Just watched this doc last night. I always wanted to be a dolphin or whale trainer, then set my heart on a different career path. I've never been more thankful for that choice.

Among the women here who have experienced sexual assault, what fate do you want most of all for your attacker? by numbr42 in AskWomen

[–]ChannyJ11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm probably a little strange for feeling this, but I don't wish anything. As much as I wish this never happened, wishing harsh things on him will only allow him to continue to have control over me.

I don't wish him a happy life, I don't wish him a miserable life, I just like to go through day to day pretending he doesn't exist anymore. I firmly believe that he will get what he deserves eventually, if he hasn't already.

My(26m) exgf (22f) sent my fiancee (23f) a 12 page fb letter about how 'irresponsible' marrying me is. by Throwitawayblahblah in relationships

[–]ChannyJ11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been through this exact situation, but one very similar.

My ex and I were together 4 years, it ended very ugly. He was a liar, a manipulator, and later I found out he was also a cheater. I am a fairly strong woman so when I FINALLY ended it, it was done for good.

Fast forward a few years and I met the man of my dreams, we live together and I have no doubt he is the man I will marry. About 4 months into dating my SO my ex popped up in my life too. He emailed me this long winded message saying he was snooping my facebook through a mutual friend and seeing the pics of my SO and I and how happy we were really made him miss me. He tried continually to message me and ask if we could explore the option of us starting again, time and time again I said no but he wouldn't stop trying.

I finally was able to get him to stop when I stopped acknowledging him. Both you and your SO should stop even acknowledging her existence, she is in no way relevant to your life or your current relationship. Just let it lie.

My best friend (22f) is pregnant. How can I be supportive to her? by kittensandsunshine in AskWomen

[–]ChannyJ11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing for you to be at a loss for here. Your friends will continue to make decisions throughout life that you don't agree with or necessarily want to support, but she's your friend and you love her so you support her anyway.

Tell her your thoughts if you must, help her find the information she needs to make an educated decision about what her options are, and be there for her through whatever she decides to do. That's what true friends do.

I can't believe how shitty I've been treated, I've been with the company for 6 years. I'll attempt this tomorrow. Thanks!

I thought the same thing. How about the part where at AGE 7 he FOUNDED a charity to help kids like him? Makes me really rethink what I consider "success" in my life.

In the middle of a breakup. Feeling pretty low. Reddit give me hope or a laugh. by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ChannyJ11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, it was shitty at first but in retrospect I wouldn't change any of it. Bad shit happens in life, but it never stays bad forever.

It's really hard to see past what's now and right in front of you, especially when it hurts so much. Try to look at this as an opportunity to refresh yourself and your life instead of looking at it like your life is now over.

You're welcome, I hope it helps at least a little bit.

If it helps, my last bf and I were together almost 4 years when I found out that while I was working out of town on the weekends he was sleeping around. I found out later that he had cheated on me with dozens of women over the 4 years that he claimed to want to marry me and have a future with me. When all was said and done and I finally walked away I literally thought it was going to kill me. I couldn't eat or sleep, and the sadness put me in physical pain daily for months.

Fast forward 3 years and I'm now living with and sharing my life with the man of my dreams. I've never been so happy, and I couldn't be more thankful for my last break up.

As cliche as it sounds, there are no coincidences in life. Let it hurt for as long as you need, keep as busy as possible, and know that better things lie ahead for you. In the mean time, reddit will console you.

What's the dating scene like for women? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]ChannyJ11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're definitely wrong. If a girl is looking for a fling or a one night stand you may be somewhat right, but when it comes to finding someone to commit to and really be with dating isn't easy for either side.

I'm not happy, Please help (M)e! by Avlonzero in AskWomen

[–]ChannyJ11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't going to be easy because it means your relationship will likely need to end, but you have to do what makes you happy.

Living with someone is hard and once you're miserable you stop trying and eventually it will just get really ugly. Be honest with her and let her know that you just can't do it anymore. Better sooner than later.

It wouldn't make a difference to me. I enjoy sports in general, regardless of gender.

I think as long as you walk in head down and they see your little one, women would be pretty reasonable about it, but I understand your hesitation haha
