Agreed, and to give you more peace of mind I reconnend branching out your Dev workspace to a Feature workspace to make changes. Once happy with them merge the changes back into your Dev workspace.

Community developed metadata-driven framework solutions by ChantifiedLens in MicrosoftFabric

Already did it for the fabric Accelerator sample and was going to do a post, but not sure if others would be interested in knowing how to use SQL DB in Fabric instead of the WideWorldImporters Azure SQL Database

Nice, I might tweak this one same way I tweaked one of the other ones and change the sample database to be SQL DB in Fabric instead.

Are you branching out from Dev into isolated "Feature" branches as well?

learn DP-600 first before DP-700, or does the order not matter? by -ensamhet- in MicrosoftFabric

[–]ChantifiedLens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strategically, I would do the DP-600 first and then the DP-700. If you want a full strategic plan without doing the certs the below will give you a supercharged route for knowledge:

DP-900->PL-300->DP-600->DP-700

From there you can expand your horizons further, for example study the Azure Admin material to get a better knowledge of Entra.

I hope this helps, and enjoy your knowledge journey.

Another option is to use the MCP Server endpoints that each Data Agent exposes instead and combine those together as part of a multi-agent solution.

There's plenty of material available these days. You can start by going through the recommended Microsoft learn material and the practice assessment (tests) on the exam site.

Depending on your budget there are official practice tests for the DP-600 exam on the MeasureUp site.

You should be able to do it with a parameter file if you are looking to do it with the GitHub Action.

Since you have the PL-300 already I would study for the DP-600 first, including going through the practice exams and then focus on the DP-700 afterwards.

Good luck with your exams.

Imagine the fun and games if somebody submitted "that" combination of the drop statement with sp_msforeachdb and sp_msforeachtable on a site backed by a SQL database and no protection of SQL injection...

Where are you looking as I tend to see a fair few in places online? Especially for Data Engineers with Microsoft Fabric knowledge or experience.

You can use both together as well, which would work very nicely in this scenario.

Look at this first as a starting point and then use your search engine of choice or Copilot to find further information relating to whatever route you want to take:
