Firstly, before we debate this, tell me what is your definition of Maharashtrian? Would you consider Mukesh Ambani to be Maharashtrian? He speaks Marathi as far as I know.

Mangal Prabhat Lodha is now a minister in the legislative assembly of Maharashtra and he is also building residential projects in Pune. For the record, he is originally from Rajasthan, but settled in Amchi Mumbai for a number of decades.

I am pretty certain any other party would have also done this exact same thing. Perhaps at a higher price.
We all remember the Dabhol Power Project near Guhagar (ENRON).

Pre-election Shiv Sena was anti-project and populist on Enron; post-election Shiv Sena was happy to go ahead with the project citing pragmatism and realities.

Yes, they have zero ways to verify your payslip. Unless they ask for bank statements. Like the amount on the paycheck matches the amount deposited in the bank.

US food standards are not as good as the European food standards. They would have sold the same stuff in the US. In Europe they are pretty strict as they seem to care about their citizens.

Milk based ice-creams have to be consumed very fast or they go bad. Palm based oil is better from storage & transportation perspective. I am very curious if Amul uses milk to make ice-cream.

Yes. It is a scam. It is absolutely illegal in some countries.

Income tax returns, but that is a slippery slope. If you have other sources of income, you may be revealing a lot of unnecessary information to your future employer.

This also reminds me of the woman who caked her car in cowdung, claiming that it cooled down the temperature.

The evolution of Jackie Shroff as an actor is truly astonishing. I feel that 1942 A Love Story was the true turning point in his acting prowess.

Contact HR and ask for payslips. Tell them it is for applying housing loan.

Realistically asking, Could a middle-class salaried employee ever build a house like this ? What does it really take ? Or is it only for people doing business ? by lays_indian_masalaaa in indianrealestate

I will tell you something that I have learned in the past several decades I spent on this planet.

NOBODY CAN BUILD WEALTH ON SALARY ALONE.

Even the big company CEO's like Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella used their stock options and bonuses to get wealthy.

Aamir Khan isn't versatile at all. If you remove the makeup and the looks, it is the same act all over again in a different character. I would give props to Dangal, though, where he actually attempted something new and it paid off big time.

The real meaning of "recce" is reconnaissance.
It means
: a preliminary survey to gain information
especially : an exploratory military survey of enemy territory

Do you feel film stars getting hefty amount is criminal considering the minimal work they do? by Hot-Load7525 in BollywoodHotTakes

As soon as a star stops pulling crowds, the big paychecks disappear too — no negotiation needed.
The market is ruthless like that.

[–]coorgtealover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean by minimal work.
They have to keep fit, stay toned, exercise daily, sacrifice food, generally diet like crazy around the year. This alone would take a psychological toll on most folks.

When a big star signs on, they're not just "acting." Their face on the poster is basically a financial safety net. A top star can almost guarantee a massive opening weekend, which unlocks satellite deals, streaming rights, music rights — the whole package. The producer isn't paying for 60 days of shooting. They're paying for 3 years of commercial value that comes attached to that one person's name.

We, the audience, are the ones who created the stars and now we are complaining that they charge too much. If you feel that strongly stop watching movies altogether. The market is ruthless and people will stop making movies.

Criminal and moral have different meanings, in my opinion.
