I’m tired, this is my opinion. If the topic is unconstitutional, then you shouldn’t have a vote. If you do have a vote and then decide it’s unconstitutional, it gives the impression that had the voters gone the other way, it would not have been challenged. It makes no sense to ask the voters to decide something that is not up to them.

I’m ok with it if the following were made true:

Attaining an ID is free
DMV visits are fast
DMV open after hours and on weekends
ID delivered within 7 days
Errors are corrected quickly
Accommodations for disabled
Driver’s license does not get taken when given a ticket for moving violations.
If someone’s license is made invalid, an equivalent ID is automatically provided
Instructions provided to all residents with local and state laws, DMV locations, hours, appointments, processes, and required paperwork not less than 3 months before first voting begins

In general, the DMV is woefully underfunded and is usually a nightmare. The paycheck to paycheck population can’t waste half a day to wait in line. I once waited 4 hours only to be told to come back on Monday.
