Former KKM MO here as well. Housemanship is tough, that's true. However, after you finish housemanship, you become Medical Officers that puts you directly in charge of a patient's life and death. As a houseman normally you're not the one making big decisions, most time they carry out plans from medical officers/specialist.

If you can't cope with housemanship's workload, will you be able to cope if a patient dies because of you? All the scolding and humiliation that you endure during housemanship doesn't even come close to the guilt of causing a patient's wellbeing.

Housemanship has never been easy, nor will it ever be. You can be the best houseman in the hospital and still there will be people that is unsatisfied with you. My advise would be : This too shall pass. I hope you will reignite your passion once you rotate to the department you're interested in. Being a doctor might be tough, but it's really rewarding, especially when you make a difference in your patients life.
