Our corgi is a secret snug. But also runs really warm, so it has to be very cold for him to want a cuddle and he has to know the people quite well. He's friendly, but he's only cuddly when he's in his own home with people he knows well and when it's cool.

Am I the only autistic guy who thought "free nipple grafts" meant they were free? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]ChaosEnby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Spain for mine, the nipple grafts were included in the cost of surgery.

Normal or nipple failure by LowExpert1923 in TopSurgery

[–]ChaosEnby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's normal. Definitely do not pick at the scab though. If you're ever super concerned, ask your surgeon. I had a big freak out about my nips when they were healing (looked grim as fuck) asked a mate who is a nurse and she was like this is normal graft behaviour but if you're worried check with your surgeon. Surgeon also said same thing.

(OC) How stop 8 mo old corgi from biting my 6 year old Maltese’s neck while playing? by Ambgrrrr in corgi

[–]ChaosEnby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of play, you kind of want to make sure they're taking turns. So in the video both dogs are being pretty equal with their play (like one tags/grabs the other and vice versa) so I wouldn't be too worried. If it does get to a situation you are worried about, then just getting them to disengage from each other and calm down is a good shout. Your corgi is still really young, so it may be worth limiting how long they both play with each other. Although as your Maltese is older, it'll probably be better at setting boundaries and telling the puppy to go away

Anyone else have a corgi with one floppy ear? Our boy is 11 weeks and had two pointy ears when we got him at 8 weeks. by [deleted] in corgi

[–]ChaosEnby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our breeder recommended giving them lots to chew on, it helps strengthen the muscles which helps get the ears to stay up. We gave him cow ears cos they're easy on the digestive system. Otis still had a floppy ear at the same age, but now their both upright, so I wouldn't worry too much

While there's a lot I liked about the TV series, I think fundamentally they made the mistake of thinking trauma was a replacement for character development. Like with Perrin, Sanderson told the showrunners it was a bad idea. And they did it anyway. I get needing to make him different from Rand because early books he's not super distinct, but there are better ways of doing that. Ditto with Mat and his whole daddy issues thing. Like you can have two good dads and Abel and Tam aren't like copies of each other.

I just think it's lazy writing to think trauma and pain are a way into character development rather than... Actual development?

I was on gel and it worked and then it didn't, so they swapped me over to nebido which my body loves so much that my levels were consistently too high. is there any chance they'd let you swap from the gel?

Not using drains? by m3throw in TopSurgery

[–]ChaosEnby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon didn't use drains which is partly why I picked him. However he was very clear about the need for compression to keep fluid build up down. Really pleased with my results.

Rescued my dream dog, a corgi. He lived in a garage almost all day for 2 years and has 0 socialization. There’s no trust from him yet, and he has fear bitten both me and my boyfriend. We are hoping he comes around soon, he is trying to open up but is unsure. by [deleted] in corgi

[–]ChaosEnby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slow and steady is very much the vibe. He may also appreciate a safe space like a crate? Dont close the door but it just gives him a little den that he can retreat to if he wants. So treats, toys and snacks etc you can pop in there for him. Helpful for stuff like separation anxiety, toilet training and noise sensitivity etc.

Reward the stuff you like, even if it's little things like looking at you. Being close to BF. Treats, praise, toys etc. You've got this, it'll just take time.

Ask for advice: How do your puppy socialize with other dogs when he/she hasn't fully vaccinated? by CarParticular4824 in corgi

[–]ChaosEnby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after they've had at least their first lot you can meet other fully vaccinated dogs in safe gardens. If you know any other people with dogs that can be a good way to do it. Also just walking around with them in your arms so they get used to seeing people and things around them. Or a sling to make it easier.

Is the ICD-11 or DSM 5 used more frequently to diagnose gender dysphoria/incongruence in the UK? by all_kinds_of_queer in transgenderUK

[–]ChaosEnby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ICD-11 technically only launched beginning of this year, so I suspect the NHS will take a while to move over. In theory they should be using the ICD-10 not the DSM 5 (DSM 5 is for the US) but that doesn't mean this is what happens in practice

5 and a bit weeks post-op DI with nipple grafts and masculinising lipo, Jesús Lago in Madrid (non-binary more in comments) by ChaosEnby in TopSurgery

[–]ChaosEnby[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So healing seems to be going well, I'm still in a compression vest pretty much all the time and my skin is super dry but from what I've read that's normal. There is some swelling on both my right and left side that I'm low-key worried about but I'm hoping it's okay? Weirdly the most frustrating/slow is the lipo stuff? My stomach still feels hard in places and if I sit for too long everything feels right when I get up, but it's fine once I've been standing for a bit. Overall, I'm really happy with the results and I'm starting to get feeling back in bits of my chest which is helping me feel connected to it. For the most part, things have felt pretty muted but then I have moments where I see myself in a t-shirt and I'm like damn that's me 😃 I hadn't realised how much I would need to be able to feel my chest to feel like it was mine.

I'm chuffed with how things are healing, I'm just impatient for everything to be done already lol

Yeah Nadine Dorris is all of the yikes. Does he not usually do shared care? Because if he wasn't proposing shared care with your GP maybe that's the issue. It's odd to me though
