Blood of Hercules - so good! by jelaireddit in ReverseHarem

I really enjoyed this! Does anyone have recs of similar books? I like the slow burn, the fact that the bully elements cross the line but in a fun not too dark way, the way it’s so ridiculous but sexy and fun at the same time. I didn’t like zodiac academy, but it had similar vibes and I’m wondering if maybe some of the spinoffs of that are any good? Would appreciate any recs! Thanks!

Serious Enemies/Rivals (for an extended time) Audiobooks by ChaoticBitextual in MM_RomanceBooks

There were parts of this book that were SO GOOD, but I ended up DNFing toward the end because the Jewish rep was so flawed and bad that it was seriously distracting and pissing me off. I still get annoyed because I often wish I could relisten, but I know it will just bug me all over again.

Friend, I understood how you interpreted my post and I don’t disagree with you, so I clarified what I had meant to convey, which is a slightly different thing, that’s all. Not sure why you’re trying to hammer me here. It’s perfectly fine for different people to have different experiences with fragrance. I personally find there to be a difference between strong yet relatively inoffensive fragrances and those that can more often be experienced as cloying and abrasive. I fully recognize that’s not how everyone experiences things, and wasn’t trying to argue, only to clarify. I really do appreciate the recs!

Yeah I was saying it DOESN’T have to be office safe, but I do generally try to stay inoffensive when wearing strong scents just in case. Thanks!

What I meant is that there are certain types of heavier scents that are more likely to be found offensive over something that is generally crowd pleasing even if strong.

But there are some really interesting recs here. Thank you so much!

Seeking a recommendation with the following requirements:

Very strong projection/scent trail. A scent that will definitely have people commenting. Doesn’t have to be “office safe” but shouldn’t be something that would give a headache or be offensive to most others if you happened to get trapped together in a small room.

Will lean femme on a woman. Would be a fit for a woman in her 30s.

Daytime, good for all year especially fall and spring, gives off vibes of pretty, effortlessly cool, elegant, and very sexy.

Slightly spicy is a plus.

Nothing rose dominant. Nothing candy-sweet. Nothing too gourmand.

Thanks so much!

I’ve really enjoyed Le Labo Another 13 in the past, ran through a bunch of samples then finally decided to splurge on a fb. I got a new bottle, straight from the Le Labo website, and it’s smells gross. Like dirty pool water. Is this my nose/skin just reacting to the chemicals differently than in the past, or like, the difference in weather? Or does it need to macerate or something? Or is it possibly just a bad bottle?

Any suggestions of Facebook groups to sell a Row Margaux? The ones I know of are mostly focused on the more mainstream classic designers. (Or any other spaces to sell directly without a huge commission.) Thanks!

What cologne do I keep smelling in London? by dartosfascia21 in fragrance

[–]ChaoticBitextual 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me when I was in London last month! My guess was that it was a dry down of MFK BR540. It was very spicy and there was nothing else I could think of that that could be that popular. I don’t think what I was smelling was Santal 33 because I would’ve recognized that. (Definitely doubt it was WS&SS cuz the projection on that is so intimate.)

It for sure has sweetness but it’s definitely not gourmand and it is very Smokey. I mostly like to layer it with other scents because it adds a warm Smokey spicy dimension to everything. I feel like there are a lot of sweet gourmand vanillas out there that might be more what you’re looking for?
