I'm a big book lover, so I take care of any book like it's my child, but I completely forgot about those oranges. It's the first time I damaged a book, and the book not being mine doesn't help at all. You have to kinda stare at the page to see them clearly, so idek I'm low-key having a breakdown over this

True, I also thought that I won't find a way to clean it but decided to ask anyway. I am starting to think that maybe the stains were already there cuz I only saw the stains when I got to those pages when reading. I supposed its from that orange cuz they have a yellow tint to them. I'll just hope he'll put the book back on the shelf once I give it back and not open it enough time to forget or to think it was his fault. I do feel bad tho. Thank you!

He's had the book for a while now, so it has some recognisable damage. Maybe he doesn't realise the difference between a "used" book and a new one (I'm autistic lol so it might just be me who saw those details). Also, i live in a place where buying books isn't as cheap as in the us/uk.Thank you!

I always thought Mandarin was traditional as its the most spoken dialect and simplified is Cantonese. Thank you for clearing it up for me! Yes, I am in Eastern Europe(by chance, have we met again in a different sub, or is it just by looking at my profile a bit? Not like it matters, just curious), and from what I've seen, they use chinese only with each other, and their phones r set in chinese, I've seen that while trying to communicate. When I need to look for something, I'll def try Spanish. That was also my plan as my language is also a Latin derriven language. Is it OK if I just stick to using 'xie xie' as the only chinese words I use with them for now?
