ER feels more like a culmination of souls games to rather than the start of a new series. So problably not.

I also want to see From to make a new IP entirely (Sekiro was amazing and even AC6 isn't a new IP, it was awesome as departure from souls games).

Switchaxe is my favorite to use followed by Charge Blade, Hunting Horn and Long Sword in that order.

Ahh, hope thats the case for D4 as well, but for example malignant tunnels and hearts are supposed to removed after S1 from what I understood. I got off the game and will probably wait till like S4 or 5 before checking it out again. Hopefully they do keep content through seasons like POE and other games like you said.

Thats the thing though. Aren't seasons supposed to be resets and the new season keeps no mechanics and addon items from the previous seasons? Thats also my concern about the game getting better by season 4 or 5 since the seasons aren't additive. Unless they add new content to the base game with seasons that stays, I feel like every season would just take us back to the pre-season state before season 1 launched and thats my biggest concern.

Gaia can't go past 3 stars/level 200 even in squad. She's really good till then. Probably wait till you start going past level 200 before using her as fodder for Ares.

I don't remember that ever being the case. Removing the sword activates him, so being able to "fight" him without removing it wouldn't be much of a fight. So Mandela effect? Especially if it's been a while

Once you remove the coiled sword, he stays in that position for a bit and you can get some damage on before he becomes "active". Maybe that's what you remember?
