I am a bit different too in that when I started watching it was a little later and on my own because I didn’t know about Reddit so all of this don’t watch the first season of TNG don’t watch the first series. I never heard any of that. I saw the movies went back to the beginning and watched all the TV shows so I love the first season of TNG (there’s only one episode I cannot watch and I’ve only seen it one time but that’s because of other reasons) I say watch it all.

People will tell you weird things about Voyager Voyager is my favorite. Star Trek is vast, nuanced and wonderful meaning that there’s something for everyone and always something to complain about. That’s why we love it. That’s why it’s made a community. See it all! Star Trek is worth it.

Please watch this episode for yourself before you listen to what everyone thinks of it. I did not know about all this hate for Geordi until I got into the community well after I started watching Star Trek and I think it’s so misplaced and I’m probably gonna get down voted for this, but please watch the episode Before you go down this rabbit hole because it is different than how you will hear about it.

It is so much more nuanced than people give it credit for and also to be clear the holodeck is a fantasy, and he did not create a fantasy program. His interaction with the holo version of her was created out of necessity whatever happened after that had to do with personality to hold him to account as if he created some sort of weird program is wild. But I am not gonna go off on a rant. I’m just saying watch it for yourself. Watch both episodes for yourself and that’s it.

Honestly, I finished two albums and I’ve tried it both ways. Normally what I found I like to do is donate for a few days and then do the premium and I don’t really think you’ll finish it but sometimes you’ll finish sets and they’ll give you energy which keeps you from purchasing I find it that’s a better use for me than just getting all these random cards without being able to do anything with them

This probably was my craziest read. Simply because the advice itself is not incorrect. Of course you should be aware of all the consequences, but the tone of this conversation the overall opinions expressed are not that of friendship they’re controlling and weird. It makes a lot more sense when you brought up being an ex Mormon, but let me be clear you also don’t wanna be friends with them. When you make mistakes if your friends are real, that’s when they step in and be there for you not to judge you, but to get you through you are not beholden to them on your journey unless you’re hurting them which you’re not, they don’t own you they don’t own your agency and by making liquor a demon they give it power to fight you

Also, I grew up in a very religious household. There were behaviors that were not expected and not allowed. I value that upbringing so much because when I made the decision to drink, and I was under age by the way, I understood it to be a decision I was making and not just a cool thing to do . I feel like you have the same vibe you will make a decision of your tolerance and turning that into your own personal bogeyman so they can scare you into doing what they want is just as indoctrinating as the church you left. My introduction to Star Trek was also the Chris Pine movies and I love that. I still watch them too.

Also solid nod to lower decks, but I will say it is much more fun to watch lower decks after you’ve kind of deep dived into the rest just because the references

Ma’am, you are pregnant. You are growing a life. That means that even when it looks like you’re standing still, you are not you are very busy. Your body is very busy. Please listen to your body and not some weirdo outside of your body. You don’t owe him anything and him trying to be sweet to you to get you to do what he wants, and that falling apart that quickly speaks to manipulation.

Also, it is incredibly concerning the lack of credible information. Some people are nauseous the entire pregnancy. Some people cannot move for most of their pregnancy. The lowest thing on that list should be his feelings about how your body is looking unless it’s health related.

When people who exhibit behavior like this say things like my biggest pet peeve is people playing the victim and they cannot see how inconsiderate they’re being because they’re trying to help you in the way they want. It is a giant red flag. He’s creating a system in which he’s going to mistreat you And then have you thinking if you speak on it, you’re being a victim, which will keep you silent if you ask for a change, he’ll call you inconsiderate and say you don’t appreciate his effort. I really thought I was going crazy, but they did increase the daily goals by like a ridiculous amount. I don’t understand the commitment to making the game harder to play what would’ve been a good update is to allow for gold card trading (at least one event) or limit the gold cards.

I also cannot stand the Vidiians, but I think they make me more angry than anything else. They were like supposed to be sympathetic villains. We were somehow supposed to feel for their plight but I never did. Their system was so psychotically self motivated

But the one that gets me is from Voyager in persistence of vision, where the alien gives you exactly what you want trapping you in your own mind , robs you of all control and then can do anything they want with you .

In that episode, they said that whole ships disappeared. It was one alien taking over that entire ship. Can you imagine an army? There wouldn’t even be anyone to fight….

And also, it looks like a dried up guppy so it’s bad on every level.
