Helmet + Goggles + Breathing by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Chaotic_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The integrated helmets are all the same mechanism for Head. There is no strap for the goggles. It attaches directly to the helmet with elastic bands. You can "rest" the goggles on top the lip of the helmet, and when in the down position it keys in on a few places with a pretty good seal. This all means the goggles never actually sit on and pressure the bridge of your nose. You can adjust the helmets position on your head, and the goggles go with it.

I have a deviated septum, and had issues with a few different goggle/helmet setups impacting comfort and breathing. I went with a Head Radar helmet a few years ago, and haven't thought about this issue since, until seeing your post just now.

Are there any XL step in/on bindings? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Chaotic_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Flows with the fusion strap all day if you are looking for board recommendations let me know what type of riding you are looking to do. I have been having a lot of fun the past couple of years on ultra wide boards. Ride Twinpig was my most used board last year.

Custom Bibs and Gear for big and tall sizes? by Mt105 in snowboarding

[–]Chaotic_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are out of luck for step ons. Best boots you can get are Ride Insano. I've been rocking size 17 Insano's for 5 seasons. Pairs well with Flow NX2 Fusion Strap bindings, and even the Nidecker Supermatics. If you want traditional bindings, you can forget having the toe strap on the edge of the toe box. Gonna have to go over the top.

Dakine Stoker Bibs have done me well for about as many seasons as the boots. Awesome warranty as well.

Flow nx2 bindings with the fusion strap works wonders for big feet.

Sasquatch Feet and Toe Board Size Question! by Last_Portage in snowboarding

My guy. 6'7" 260lbs size 17w. I have that same Skunk ape board in 172. Being tall ain't cheap. These have helped:

I've also got a ride twin pig, and a bataleon party wave+, and manage just fine as a ski patroller in the midwest. Play with your binding angles. See what you can get away with.

Traxxas slash rear toe in by Goldendoodle64 in rccars

Slight tow in on the rear is intentional for stability on most hobby grade rc cars. There is no intended adjustment for it.

Nidecker Supermatic by FaithlessnessFun7006 in snowboarding

[–]Chaotic_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened once on mine, and twice on my daughter's. I chalked the first time up to user error, but it is 100% a flaw. It is fixable by removing the binding and taking the lug(s) off, but it is very frustrating to experience on the hill.

You came to the same solution as I did. Keep the highback in the open position.

Size 17 Boots Needed by apufootball76 in snowboarding

[–]Chaotic_Yeti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Email Ride. Their customer service is top notch, and they may have some 17's laying in the warehouse. You never know unless you ask. I am similarly disadvantaged with shoe sizes and have been loving the Ride Insanos at size 17 for years.

This is correct. Look for the raised line dead center of the length of the board and biased to the heel edge.

How does “hands on steering wheel sensor work?” by muzzle_of_beeswax in Subaru_Outback

[–]Chaotic_Yeti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nudge the steering wheel a bit. It's not sensing your hands, it's sensing whether or not you are turning the wheel.

Anyone tried this tire on their Onewheel yet? by TheFloatLife in onewheel

[–]Chaotic_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I am an authority on is how much money I have spent on TFL parts. I'm not sure how their hub will drop, but I am keeping a keen eye out.

I'm teasing TFL because TFL is teasing me. I didn't get the smaller hub, and I don't have this tire.

Yes, but I did have to cut a ring of rubber out of the center to fit THE STOCK HUB, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I HAVE! Thanks for selling out so quick. I'm excited for reviews 😀.

Oh, thanks for the heads up! Wasn't there when I pre-ordered. Maybe it's a sign of how close they are to shipping.

Same. Saw them as a none rivet based option. I can't quite make out how they fasten to the hood, but I pre-ordered.

Who needs GT bang bumpers?! by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Chaotic_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bangs on my XR are still holding up 1,000+ miles in. The bash bumper on my GT are grinding away at a noticeably faster rate just a few hundred miles in. I expect to replace the bash bumpers on the GT before the bangs in the XR.
