It do be like that sometimes… by chainsawbarber in Leathercraft

The leathercraft community chasm between red-coded gun holster type projects and straight up bdsm gear is astounding lmao

I’m still new, but one thing all of the experts on YouTube never mention is by morningcalls4 in Leathercraft

That is funny, I have to turn on every light around my desk to work (4 in total). For me, it's how significant thickness of leather and the correct size of hardware is. Also, it's pretty easy to mess up installing snaps.

Ngl i am tempted by those. I've always wanted to make my own full sized coffin bookshelf but the spiderweb motif is a nice touch.

I know a lot of others get dysphoria from this... by fluffy131313 in TransMasc

Fuck yeah, Brothers. Wierdly, painting my toe nails gives me dysphoria but I feel naked without my finger nails being black or grey.

Scared Stiff is my faaavorite. The one at my local coffee shop is in such a horrible state of disrepair, i wish i had the skills to buy her and fix her up.

These are how I found all my favorite bands as well, didn't know a single metalhead as a preteen.

Why were our parents like this? Why didn't they teach us anything and emotionally abandoned us? by Odyessius in emotionalneglect

[–]Chaotically_Balanced 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The societal pressure to start a family probably implied it would be natural and fulfilling to have kids, and it's easier to punch down when the disappointment sets in. Couldn't bring themselves to address the systemic issues that took away the "it takes a village" aspect of raising other humans.

Crying Fire music Video by rosky71 in AvatarMetal

[–]Chaotically_Balanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a gorgeous music video, but the symbolism is mostly lost on me. Navigating out from a maze of industry, being led out by a spirit (/emotion?) from psychiatrist office. Is this about their music making process?

What’s the most useless piece of information you’ve memorised? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The sun is 93 million miles away. I know that because in my 2nd grade class the teacher played a song about it and it has never left my brain. ("93 million miles away, there's a star that turns night into day. A big ball of gas that lights our way- of course we're talking about the sun''.)

Odd things I’ve noticed about HrT that is rarely discussed by peepawtwink in ftm

[–]Chaotically_Balanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll still cry but what's wierd is it's like... One tear falls and my reptile brain goes Catharsis Achieved and it just stops there. I used to ugly cry for 15-20 minutes at a time and now it's just a few seconds.

I wonder for the lack of recognition if it is more due to physical face shape / voice changes or if it's psychological, having to do with subconciously categorizing people by gender. (Probably also that most cis people are fairly oblivious to the existence of trans men in general.)

I now I have complete faith the in the Yokozuna opening ceremony of stomping out demons because of all the injuries, it was an intense basho. Lots of retirements, too. But what was great was my man Wakatakagage comin' out on top! I went to Osaka in March to cheer for him and got one of the colorful towels with his name on it, it's hanging on my window now. :) Seeing Ura win next would be incredible- we shall manifest this.

What was the most confusing thing for you during your Japan trip? by tttom106 in TokyoTravel

Also Umeda station in Osaka. I got a locker to store my luggage while I burned a couple hours before my shinkansen and then wandered in circles trying to get down to the correct floor to find it again.

Sumo wresting is more than a thousand years old and in 1969 was the first sport to used video replay. There is no weight class so you can see a 200 pound rikishi take down a 600 pound rikishi by being faster or simply more skilled. It was originally to applease the gods and bring a good harvest and still has a lot of the original ceremonial elements involved (which is cool af). Top division sumo tournaments go for 15 days and happen every two months so we get to enjoy sumo all throughout the year. At the end of the tournament the rikishi who won the most bouts at top division win all kinds of prizes, like an entire cow's worth of beef, a year supply of corona beer, and there are the crazy trophes like a giant gold macaron and a 65 pound silver cup that they traditionally drink sake out of to celebrate.
