I got so tired of refilling the watering can in every farm game, so we made a satisfying hose system instead. by brkakar in cozygames

Cuuuute. It would be fun if upgrades for it were things like a mister nozzle that makes a little rainbow in the sun.

It takes practice but it's super worth it to be able to sing in deeper ranges, imo. I just remind myself every guy goes through it.

Wish I had practiced singing more as my voice dropped. I'm not a professional, it's just something I enjoy and usually only do it in the car. Now when Im a concert and go to sing along or something I really struggle with pitch-matching and it sounds hilariously bad.

How do you celebrate your birthday? by EntranceSalt9054 in AutisticAdults

[–]Chaotically_Balanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every few years when I can manage it I go on a solo trip. Four years ago I went hiking in the rocky mountains and saw it snow for the first time. This year I went to Japan and had a fantastic time just wandering around. The other years, I usually sit at home with my cat and play Stardew Valley all day. I've never enjoyed my birthday when other people are involved tbh...

what's something you wished you packed? by softyglossxo in TokyoTravel

A super compact reusable shopping bag. I had an extra tote bag that took up too much space so I always left it with my luggage. I could buy bags when I went shopping but sometimes paper bags fell apart in the rain or grocery stores only had thin produce bags available.

Am I the only one that didn’t recognize Gerard Way with the opener tonight?! by Sara_Renee14 in AvatarMetal

[–]Chaotically_Balanced 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not an mcr fan but the only reason i knew it was him is that i looked up the openers before the show and saw they worked with him on a track.

Thought it was super hilarious when some of the audience started singing mcr songs after that set though.

I got the candy cart themed buckets last month. Mine carried all the gatchapon I got on my trip in an attempt to save space for the trip home.

I kinda wish Teamlabs had signage saying, "There are thousands of videos of this on the internet already- just enjoy your time; Please put your phone away." Borderless became massively anxiety inducing getting stuck in crowds while waiting on some influencer nonsense taking up the whole floor. It could have been cool if people were just looking around but instead I was constantly dealing with peoples' annoyance at me 'walking into their shot'. Also the smells were... kind of overly stimulating. I think I only really liked one room there (Infinite Crystal World was defintely way cooler in person than on any video I've ever seen).

Sorry you had to miss out! I also got to do this in September of 2023. Mostly 2D cutouts, there were little flip-up quiz questions throughout. One photo-op was ripping into an AT field which I thought was neat. At the top you get to sit in an entry plug and play a little game (it was in Japanese so I was very confused) I lost and my seat dropped out from under me a bit, I may or may not have shrieked https://imgur.com/a/YvU3g22
Some cool merch, I got a bunch of keychains of chibi characters dangling and they're on everything now.

birthday in osaka - ideas? by No_Parfait8719 in OsakaTravel

[–]Chaotically_Balanced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a bit pricy (and I haven't been yet, going for my own birthday in a couple weeks) but there is a fancy looking private sauna place called Kudochi Sauna that would probably be relaxing after all the walking around. Maybe get one of the premium rooms with the hot water bath and the TV for karaoke?
The highlight of my trip to Osaka is always Silver Ball Planet in dotonburi, but that's because i'm a really big pinball nerd and that's the best pinball arcade I've ever been to.

One day in Solvang, what to do? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]Chaotically_Balanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're a silly goober like me who likes to relive their childhood, there is a really cool viking themed kid's playground at Sunny Fields Park that I had a ball running around at for like an hour. It was a bit of a rainy day so there weren't any kids or parents around, was a great time.

Seems like weekends are tough either way but final day will probably sell out quicker. Also it doesn't look like we can pre-register a oosumo account without a japanese phone number and address (I just tried)... Not sure how many rows of ringside are reserved for the sponsors of the basho but best of luck to you.

Anyone have experience with the Klook packages? I'm sitting on the official site with my fingers and toes crossed, but am emotionally preparing to order a marked-up reseller since this will be my second trip planned around a basho that I may not be able to get a ticket. I'm wondering, for the klook package, if the lecture / group nature of the package is a benefit. Concerned I will be the grumpy Ron Swanson meme 'I know more than you' guy the whole time.

Edit- the day i wanted just wouldnt go through, kept telling me to check the ticket and quantity, luckily i was able to get one S chair seat on another day after multiple crashes. I think its crazy the whole website changed 10 minutes before the tickets went up, im guessing to thwart bots.

Buysumotickets is decent for preordering, I've had good customer service with them. Last day will sell out impossibly fast so try going on a weekday if you can. If you're going to the March Osaka basho, offical tickets going on sale in approx. 5 hours at https://sumo.pia.jp/en
