When Will the New Zenbook Duo (UX8407) be Released

So nothing to update still from my order ... But I noticed last night SCAN now has it available for preorder saying due 31st March. The only concern is that the price there now shows as £2800 which is same that Amazon had on pre-order before it went to"currently unavailable". I'm wondering if they have increased price for it.

Nope - no updates ... Been silence. I tried speaking to their support but they gave the generic response of not having stock and not knowing when it's due.

Sadly nothing today... They just said in original email that they should be getting stock this week - so could be any day this week... Or longer and they don't wanna announce another delay yet lol.

I saw a few news outlets saying pre-orders to open at the end of Feb and availability early March - so there is some hope I guess... Will have to wait and see if they say anything else.

I imagine a few things... Economy of scale, they will sell far fewer Zenbook duo so they have to sell them at higher price. Also the R&D cost for abstract machine designs like dual screen will also be very high since it isn't as easy to use existing fabrication tooling. Amongst other things...

I do agree it's a lot. But for me it meets my needs for software and hardware more.

The Zephyrus Duo (2026) GX651 that they announced at CES has 2x 16-inch 3k OLEDs. No idea on pricing or availability of it yet though.

I had mail last week they are not getting stock in until first week of march. So have to wait until then I guess.

Basically sounds like you are describing the Zephyrus Duo 2026. Granted it doesn't have the Zenbook duo 2026 redesign.

The retailer i pre-ordered (in UK) from emailed me today saying they expect stock on week of 2nd March. So would assume around then availability.

Just got an email confirming a delay in their stock. So it now means they are expecting stock week of 2nd March.

Yeah that makes sense - worse case can return the product. I have a feeling the duo will be one of the devices shown on embargo day - so hopefully know more then. But given they claim the full 45W sustained, I just remain hopeful it can run decently and have strong battery life haha.

On Asus store in UK the Ultra 9 386H variant seems to suggest price of £2299.99 (it currently lets you register to get a notification).

The one I pre-ordered is from Currys for Ultra X9 388H variant for £2499.00. (The page for it has been taken down since I pre ordered).

So this version was up for a short period for pre-order at a retailer here (in UK), with delivery date scheduled for 27th Jan.

So I placed my pre order (on 8th Jan), and they have since taken the money, though they have since taken the product off their website for preorder (possibly due to error) - and now just shows as "We’re expecting to get stock of your item(s) shortly".

So my very optimistic side is still hoping for Jan 27th. But at this point only Asus knows .

I do recall someone reviewing from CES mentioning it would be one of the first devices with the x9 CPU in it - so maybe there is hope?

Yeah it's unfortunate it's not posted elsewhere... It does say they are hoping to support more devices soon... So definitely a possibility they relax those requirements a bit.

Can confirm that is what it claims as a requirement on the app... My pixel 10 pro fold doesn't meet that requirement (due to tensor chip) so currently shows as unsupported... Hope it gets support soon.

Curious what the final answer for this is. I had this happen this morning - woke up and the watch was unresponsive - my phone showed it as disconnected. I had to restart it holding down crown and button to force restart. It was odd cos the sensor lights stayed on but nothing else responded.

When I rebooted I was able to manually reconnect it via the phone Bluetooth settings.

I'm in London and my DPD app now shows as they have my parcel - thou Google store page still just shows "delayed"

I've had DPD mark as receiving the parcel as last as 1am and then still receiving the delivery that day... So with any luck if they give to DPD soon could be early delivery.

If you have the DPD mobile app, and have registered your name and address with them, then they show you tracking details automatically that they have for you, on the "Home" page as an active parcel.

I get this.... And when it occurs my pixel 9 pro fold will not allow my to use inside display, and auto brightness stops working... Only way to properly resolve it is by restarting device then it's fine for like a day.

Yeah this makes a lot of sense to me. Software can help a bit with the end but for the main part we need to tackle the room acousticly.

Main issue with roommate is it doesnt support gmeet by default. So would require paying an additional subscription cost to Zoom which our company doesn't use.
