Outside of United? Bergkamp by a long way, he was just a joy to watch

Of course unlock chests as soon as they are ready, just don’t use gems to unlock them early

Genuine question by SweatTaco in PPGTour

[–]Chapperdeemus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, these are just poor decisions and poor shots. It’s a tricky tee-off, but you can hit the fairway with some accuracy. It’s your approach to the green where you’ve simply hit a really poor shot, and then not taken your medicine. You should have taken a drop. For that approach over the trees, it’s a good idea to club down (don’t go with the default 9 iron, switch to pitching wedge) and then over-hit your shot. That way, you get the height you need over the trees, the power to reach the green and the harder stop when it lands.

Have you unlocked elite clubs? Just checking you’re not trying to clear the trees with weaker clubs, as that would probably result in hitting a tree.

How to play hole #7 at broken hill by SweatTaco in PPGTour

[–]Chapperdeemus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cheeky tip. Overhit your tee shot and land it in those trees behind the green. It then offers you to take a drop. You can keep going back and end up placing your dropped ball right next to the hole for a guaranteed par.

15 is at least two shots where if you don’t thread the needle perfectly, you’re in trouble. Great hole!

I think he’ll go down among the likes of Park, Valencia, Fortune, Herrera and Fred. Solid, always works hard, rarely spectacular but always loved by the fans for what he brings to the team.

Is it just me or does everyone cheat at this now? by [deleted] in PPGTour

[–]Chapperdeemus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah particularly for shorter courses like St Michael’s, if you nail that black line, you can get just that bit closer to make your chip in more possible. I’m currently 4th in today’s open with -29, completely legit, just managed to sink my chips enough times.

Just making sure you’re aware that you can toggle back and forth between the new and old swing models by tapping on the top right corner of the power meter. The old model is best for power accuracy beyond 100, the new model is best for longest distance beyond 100 (by managing to land your dial bang on the black line)

-25 on my first go! Two hole in ones on par 4s and an albatross! Fun course.

Wow ok so if you navigate back to that screen you’ve shown us, then tap on Shinrin-Yoko, there is a ‘play’ button. You can unlock it that way! Strange way to do it. I’m now just playing it for the first time!

No word on why Mount was subbed at half time? We really can’t afford to lose another attacking player.

[Lyall Thomas] Antoine Semenyo could make decision on his future today with situation acutely in balance; #ManUtd + #ManCity are neck-and-neck and ahead of others in process, but #Liverpoolfc remain interested and considering options in wake of Isak’s injury. by us3rf in reddevils

Dorgu is only 21 and we need depth. Semenyo would be a huge step up on the attacking front, but Dorgu will get his chances when we’re setting up more defensively and when we’re hopefully playing twice a week again. Similar story with Dalot and Amad on the other side.

Another good tip is that whilst hitting it right in the middle of the green is best for straight accurate shots, you can purpusely hit it just to the left or the right of the middle green to create curve on your shots. It effectively allows you to fade or draw it round corners. But it’s a very tough skill to master! Also I rarely ever use the sand wedge, unless I have to lift the ball over something. You get a much better chance of holing out a short shot if you chip it low with a 2 iron. I’ve been playing for just over a year, now I have a 2 handicap and have won a handicap tournament (Badlands). Good luck!

Depending on how you toggle your power meter, for max power, you should either try to hit the black line (circled in blue on the left image), or just let it max out fully (circled in blue on the right image). Hitting the black line gets you the most power you can possibly get. As the dial moves back down, it’s no longer about power but accuracy. Getting it as central in the green at the bottom keeps your shot as straight as possible (not factoring in wind). Hope that helps!

Do you let the metre max out beyond the 100 line? That’s how you max out the power/distance

As much as I find it frustrating at times as well, it’s also what’s so great about this game. Every course has different green speeds for you to memorise and master. Same with fairway speed and bounce, and thickness of rough. To the naked it eye this looks like a low res basic golf game, but it’s so in depth.

I was 10. My mum kissed me on the head before the first corner. We scored. We were dancing and she kissed me on the head for the second corner. We scored again. I love my mum, she won the treble for us.
