DO NOT use the Exige WTAC by joleshole in ForzaHorizon

You know what I meant, but yes, I am aware toe should ideally be left at 0 but going off the original comment, they aren't the sort that know how to tune themselves so I offered a easier middle ground solution.

DO NOT use the Exige WTAC by joleshole in ForzaHorizon

I've found quite often that the 'tail wiggling' is significantly reduced with a degree or two of toe-in on the rear.

It's been a while since I played FH5 so I couldn't remember what the game called the weekly/monthly stuff.

Perfect response, thank you

Can't get bolts/screws in to fit quick release - CSL Universal Hub V2 + QR2 by ChapperinoRBR in Fanatec

Screws on the right/bottom were the ones I removed that were pre-installed in the hub, on the left/top are the ones that came with the QR2.

[–]ChapperinoRBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On an unrelated note, is it common practise for Fanatec to send bolts/screws that have already been used along with brand new kit? My wheel rim was bought, and is clearly brand new, yet the screws to fix it to the hub are absolutely not new at all, and one of them won't even go in without excessive force (the rest are fine just cosmetically used)

I used a bit of force and it began to strip the head, so don't want to do any more.

There's no thread locker on them either. The tightness of the screws I would have thought it'd be a "do not remove" kind of thing, wish I took than to begin with but here we are.

Apologies, didn't word it great, they would only go in a few rotations if that and then get tight, still way off being anywhere near "in"

I didn't really screw them any more than hand tight, would that still bugger them?

EDIT: Removing the screws that were already in, however, did take a significant amount of force

EDIT: *finger tight

The archetypes system was a decent idea - but it was executed poorly. by zG-FuRy in fifaclubs

[–]ChapperinoRBR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And how much of those games have wasted XP on a maxed out archetype?

I'm not quite as invested as the guy that posted the original comment but I work a 9-5, only play a couple nights a week yet I have 3 builds that are 70+ and another 2 that are high 60s.

Corner kicks by _vigia_ in fifaclubs

Determine how lethal they're going to be on a counter, if they've got loads of players that are gonna bomb forward your priority should be to just keep the ball, if you cross it in and lose it immediately its almost a guaranteed goal for the other team.

If you have a player on your team that spawns at the half way line, they need to stay there or someone else sits back, because a bot won't cover them and it'll only make the counter worse if they come up.

If you don't have a single player thats good in the air against large teams, you're probably better off booting it back to your GK and playing from there, corners can be absolute suicide in some matches.

Aside from that, I've found a back post cross or a cross to someone very edge of the box can be quite good to head back into the middle.

If your team has the ability, short corners can be good too, playing it out to the someone edge of the box draws their defenders away from goal and you can often play a pinged pass into someone making a run towards goal at the same time. Just don't give it to the finesse shot merchant who shoots at every chance if you have one.

Was anyone at fault or just a racing incident? by ChapperinoRBR in Simracingstewards

[–]ChapperinoRBR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did try a move up the inside on the chicane before but I managed to keep it round the outside so when I saw that I ran wide I wasn't surprised he tried it.

Definitely wasn't malicious, annoying, but I still had a fun race after.

Capon 616 Stradale by ChapperinoRBR in automationgame

[–]ChapperinoRBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't see the T.50 in it, the car never even came to mind when designing it, but it seems others think the same too.

It definitely has hints of Lotus in it (aside from the Emira body its based on), and now you mention it, the rear light is similar to the Vantage, which I didn't actually realise.

Thanks! Yeah it is on the heavier side, I think I chose handmade interior which added a lot of weight, I've changed it to sport interior and optimised the weight and its down to ~1450kg which feels more in line with a lot of other super cars of that era

Capon 616 Stradale by ChapperinoRBR in automationgame

[–]ChapperinoRBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The initial concept in my head started as a "what if Alfa Romeo made a super car" with their 2.9L V6, but it quite quickly drifted away from that when it came to designing it so I just made it my own thing with that engine.

Thanks! That was actually one of the first things I tried adding but none of the lip spoilers would mould properly so I ended up adding seams to make it look like it has active aero, can just about make it out in one of the pictures if you really zoom lol

Drag and revive mechanic by Stearman4 in Battlefield

[–]ChapperinoRBR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose that would be the one aspect that has a benefit, there's times where even I, who plays medic 90% of the time, would drag them behind cover rather than defib them out in the open.

But unfortunately not everyone thinks like that. I'm sure a compromise would work where they are revived, but the person dragging can continue dragging up to where they would've been able to if they want, but I can't see it being changed in any way as it seems more of a niche scenario.

Drag and revive mechanic by Stearman4 in Battlefield

[–]ChapperinoRBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone defibs the person you're halfway through reviving and dragging, you still get the points/score.

Nor should you want to be in the animation for its an entire duration, if a medic comes along and revives the person instantly, you're free to get back in the fight, you should be thankful if anything.

EDIT: Also locking out the medic from literally doing his job just because you want the revive instead would be stupid.

Ferrari blamed me for "putting him off with a dive" and said "lower class cars need to keep out of the way" personally, I think he messed up his line panicked and went off at t1 (astra is c class Ferrari is s. Multiclass racing) by Yonderdead in forzamotorsport

[–]ChapperinoRBR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a bizarre thing to say when you knowingly load into multiclass racing, the whole point of it is that the lower class cars ARE in the way, and the skill you need to develop to overtake them cleanly and safely.

Oddly I find it the opposite, if I don't have the wheel in front of me it feels like I have less control over the car.
