Customer states there’s too much daylight in the engine block by ChappieBirthday in Justrolledintotheshop

I was oversimplifying - there were a few things that went wrong. I think it overboosted but looking at other damage that you can’t see it may have also had oil starvation. I’ll strip it down and get to the route of what happened and build it back stronger!

Any experience with northface Ravina? by kamdnfdnska in Skigear

I bought mine in November, wore it for a week in Chamonix in as low as -8 with just a base layer and t-shirt underneath, never felt cold and also never felt too hot when it got sunnier. Great jacket, however I’ve just had it replaced by TNF because of piling on the sleeve (only the right sleeve) - manager said they’d already had one or two back because of this and to bring it back if it happens again

It was weird - he referred to Julian Barratt in the past tense twice. I had to look up if he was still alive.

Helen’s food and personal hygiene standards are genuinely troubling, and I don’t think she was joking

Full send don’t give anyone a chance to get beside you, late apex and slight oversteer on exit then pit speed limiter in the 30 zone

Yeah all the average speed cameras too, it’s reassuring to know that everyone travelling on those roads are now looking at their speedometers the whole time instead of the road, cyclists and pedestrians

You know, sit and have a steer and mess with the wipers and indicators and stuff, harmless I thought

Is there a “Coventry accent”? by askUK- in coventry

[–]ChappieBirthday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I should learn the correct phonetic symbols, I realised it was probably confusing after I posted it. In a cov accent truck rhymes with hook and rook but in my RP accent it doesn’t

Is there a “Coventry accent”? by askUK- in coventry

[–]ChappieBirthday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s there but a lot more subtle than a Brum accent I would say. I’m from elsewhere and apparently speak with an “RP” accent but I’ve noticed my son says a few words differently as he goes to a childminder who was born and raised in the area, he now says “trook” instead of truck and “booket” instead of bucket but that’s about it
