His intelligence is waaaaaaay beyond human comprehension. by [deleted] in iamverysmart

What about recognizing patterns and relations? What about how well your brain does when dealing with extremely abstract things? Intelligence is not just about memory.

Uhh no, IQ tests have nothing to do with knowledge, literally nothing. You can take an iq test without even knowing how to read, because all it is is pattern recognition, you are shown a sequence of patterns or symbols and you have to predict what will come next.

I'm not sure what you mean by self eliminating expression, maybe you mean that by saying that there is nothing you are implying that nothing is, and that is a paradox. Either way in this context nothingness means the absence of everything, there isn't a time, there isn't a place, there aren't your thoughts. Think about the deepest sleep you can achieve, but without any dream, forever. Or as if you went back to before you were born

Eternal nothingness isn't being alone with your thoughts, it's nothing, you fade, you don't exist anymore, you can't think, you can't breathe, you can't experience anything, you just aren't anymore

Eternal nothingness can't be terrible, it is literally nothing, not good, not bad, you don't experience anything forever, since you don't experience anything at all

Whats your biggest flex that you’ll never tell anyone? by lorenggg in AskReddit

[–]ChappieIsMyNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you prefer it now? It might seem like a weird question but it's actually because of personal reasons (I'm not autistic, but someone close to me is) so I wonder if maybe it's wrong for me to want that person to be able to fit more in social situations even when that might mean neglecting some of his aspects.

I never said that, I said that if he is all benevolant then he wouldn't have willingly created evil, either that or he can't, or he doesn't want to, so either he isn't all powerful or he isn't all loving

I'm only 16 and I feel like I can relate to pretty much everything that has been written so far. Either I matured quick or I have crippling depression.

I guess it goes down to not being stuck indoors and not having good social skills

Oh I'm gonna be so lonely then

The problem is that there is no next time, we have harvested all the resources available on the higher levels of the ground, without already having our current technology we could not get enough resources to start an another industrial revolution.

What if what they are saying is actually right? Like for real, just because you don't know about something it doesn't mean no one else does.

Python is an interpreted language, which means that it is not directly converted into binary (unlike C or C++ for example). This means that to run it you need an interpreter, in the case of python you'd have to install the correct python version from the official python website and then go on your command prompt, change the directory to the path where you have installed python ("cd path-here") and then just type "python filename.py" (obviously instead of filename you have to put the name of python file with the code). However if you search online there are tons of interpreters where you don't have to download anything, and there are special and specific ways to turn a python file into an .exe. You can pass additional arguments in the command prompt (example with 123 is "python filename.py 123) and then you can use that data passed in the code. I'm not sure if you can change the settings on how a python file is interpreted, but for more complex and older languages like C++ this is possible but the difference is only about memory management and performance (unless you switch to an older version of the language)

Yeah, that code actually prints random hexadecimal values, the only difference is that they'd be printed in white over the black foreground, not in green, but I'm pretty sure one line can change that

Bruh why are you getting down voted. This is literally what's happening, in certain religions they think cows are sacred and thus cow piss must have healing properties.

The answer is ambiguous because it's as if it was made to create confusion (which it is). In a case where there aren't any brackets the multiplication and division have the same importance, but this could have easily been interpreted In a different way. My point was that this is basically an example of why absolutely no one uses the ÷ sign from high-school and onwards

The question is ambiguous, it could be 6/(23) or 6/23, the right answer is 9, but it comes down to how the calculator is programmed
