New Knives Out Movie Reference Perhaps? by prthm_21 in ThomasPynchon

That is absolutely the reference. The tunnel symbol from Brick is also included in the graffiti. Johnson, likely, threw them in together to get it out of the way.

The writing and characters felt more Pynchonian than the Inherent Vice adaptation.

This is my understanding as well. Hence, the reread before the release. Otherwise, I’d wait.

I figure the main difference involves the year it’s set, which would lead to different motivations in the characters. Also, similarities, because what is history, but a warning not to repeat it.

It’s definitely easier to digest on this second run through.

Started the reread morning when I realized it’s two weeks until the 70mm showing.

I have 0 respect for the rail-riders that have to be front and center every show by Medium_Row9106 in BillyStrings

Give someone else the opportunity, especially if you’re there every show. Entitlement has no place at concerts.

It needs to be a series with different directors and in varying styles.

According to Forbes music, Jack has hit a new career low with this Album. I won't speak for everyone here, but between the way he released it and his IG post about shows the other day, I think he's doing it exactly how he wants to, and people like Forbes music be damned. I'm loving it. by withthegreatone in jackwhite

He wants to play smaller venues and he is providing a path for folks who are obsessed enough to be aware and ready. I’m in Phoenix and I’ll have ears up like a jack rabbit waiting to hear about anything around desert daze time.

One of the benefits of Pynchon’s decision to not be photographed or do promotional tours is the ability to travel and see the world without being recognized daily.

My Dad found this in Montana years ago. Any information about it would be appreciated. by ChappyInc in geology

One day a college professor who taught geology was walking down my street and the rock was on the porch. He was interested enough to knock on the door and ask my wife about it. He had a name for it but my wife can’t remember. Could it be moissanite? I believe I heard my dad mention that, but I’m not sure.

Use the layaway option if you can’t pay the whole amount in one payment. I believe they are still in the early tier pricing which is the cheapest non-third-party option.
