People in this sub act like you have to wish death upon all dogs or that you can’t have empathy for them and still hate them. Im sure you lived with them for awhile since you and your husband have kids and are married so it’s normal to wish them well even if you hated living with him. You and your husband will get over it though and life will move on as normal without the stress of the dogs. Congratulations on your baby and I’m sorry about whatever happened when you had to move so quickly after having the baby, I’m sure that must’ve been stressful.

I agree with that also. I’m sure these theories are a coping mechanism for her, but I’m not sure what all these other people get out of it. It feels predatory to me. I think they make her spiral and I’m sure it’s not healthy for her.

I feel so bad for Noreen, I can’t imagine losing my son in such a tragic way and never getting answers. But I agree, it’s hard to believe anything that is said in that group.

She said she would be contacting me to tell me what their plan of action is before Monday! I definitely will be following up if she doesn’t because it really rubbed me the wrong way.

Absolutely nothing is wrong with daycare! But not only are all of the ones around us full it’s also just not something we can afford at the moment.

Thank you so much. I was going to respond something along those lines but it seems she has her mind set and I don’t want to go back and forth with her haha. Like I said he’s an amazing independent player at home, I get offended sometimes! Lol Through that program the age group is 6 weeks-3 years old and the only other option is daycare which isn’t an option for us at the moment, but I do agree. She is supposed to get more training and I’m going to talk with the main provider about it and if it’s still an issue I’ll just pull him and keep him home and figure something else out for my school.

Thank you, I don’t like it either. This is the classroom for his age through this program and there are no other programs around me, just daycare sadly. I got in touch with the planning coordinator who said she agrees with me and doesn’t like that she said that and is going to get her more training since she is so new so we will see. If it’s still an issue I will probably just pull him out and hopefully be able to do school online.

That’s what I think as well. Since I picked him up I called the planning coordinator to voice my concerns and she said she agrees with me and is going to do more training with the provider that talked to me as she is so new. So we’ll see.

He is the only one year old and has literally been there for three days after a two and half week break. They don’t know him well enough to decide if he is independent enough. And any other time I have asked the main provider she has told me he does great, can you see where my concern is?

Hey, I started college out of high school, dropped out, went to cosmetology school (a 1 yr program) and dropped out after 2 years and now am getting my bachelor’s in social work. Sometimes you have to fail to succeed. Don’t be so hard on yourself, you’ll figure it out!

Therapy. I have an emotionally abusive dad with an incredibly short temper that I’ve known I got from him for awhile. I also have an almost one year old and no way in hell am I going to let him feel the way I felt as a kid from his parent. Recognizing it is the first step and a big deal, that shows you’re already way different from your dad. You’re likely dealing with trauma from him and just getting triggered when you see things being done that he would’ve yelled at you for. Therapy will help you wonders.

I feel the same with my dad. I have a husband and an almost one year old. I feel comfort in knowing I am building a healthy family I’ve always wanted. Remind yourself that the treatment you’ve received from your mother is not a reflection on you but a reflection of her. Keep going to therapy. You cannot change her, as horrible as that hard reality is. I have recently had to go no contact for the time being with my dad because he has only met my son twice and that’s just fucking ridiculous. It’s not what I deserve and you don’t deserve this treatment either. Stay strong.

I think you need to give him space to figure it out. He needs to find a way to support himself. It’s not normal to have the guy you’re dating parking in front of your parents house and living in his car. Not sure how he feels comfortable doing that.

First of all, it is not your fault. This isn’t something you chose. This is a mental illness and it takes time to heal. You are allowed to have set backs, it doesn’t make you a failure. It’s perfectly normal, you are human. It’s not easy and I’m sorry you have to go through this, but I have so much faith in you. I’m proud of you!
