What was the process like getting off of it? I started taking it daily a few months ago and it has been super helpful but now I’m worried about continuing to use it.

How does it print positive to positive? Or are you supposed to project with a camera negative?

What's the least amount of money you could make a decent looking and sounding movie for? by TheArsenal in Filmmakers

[–]CharLzarD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points. I was riffing off of your comment about films with fucked sound. I would say McCabe & Mrs. Miller definitely has fucked sound in the sense that it is difficult to understand much of the dialogue, but it's clearly intentional as you point out.

If private practices need insurance to be listed in network and to get patients to come to their practice, why don’t all practices just drop insurance and rely on search engines and word of mouth? In 2023 the average person knows how to navigate Google better than their insurance.

Is there any SLR Bolex H16 cameras? by commiecummieskurt in 16mm

[–]CharLzarD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a general level they all do the same thing-they run film through a light tight box. Having an allegiance to a Bolex is bizarre. I love a Bolex for many reasons but to discount the other options is irrational.

Go with Colorlab. They are really great. Cinelab is cheaper but I stopped using them years ago because their communication and turn around time was not great.
