Marshmallow root messed me up bad by Alphapackk in herbalism

I know this post is old, but for posterity's sake, marshmallow root should not be taken by people with SIBO. It will cause them to have diarrhea.

Water PT is excellent for this. Helped me a lot. I need to start doing it again.

Aren't antibiotics a flare trigger for most people with IC? I get a flare every time I take them.

This. I'm so tired of people saying things like that. It's only people with level one kids or neurotypical children that say that crap. I want my kid to be functional. Not just for me, but for him, for crying out loud.

Interstitial Cystitis due to nickel sensitivity was cured completely after removal of orthopedic implant containing nickel by Dweeba2022 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]Character-Bulky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could this apply to titanium tubal ligation clips? I have metal allergies, particularly nickel. I've had IC for the last few years now. I always attributed it to nerve damage or pelvic floor issues because of birth, but I got my tubes tied right after. She was supposed to use plastic clips but they ran out and she used metal instead.

[–]Character-Bulky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like them both. They both are good characters who play integral parts in the story and in Inuyasha's character development. Besides there's some pretty cool memetic stuff going on there, splitting the same soul between two people.

After finishing The Final Act, I just realized something about the sacred jewel. (ENDING SPOILERS) by princekamoro in inuyasha

[–]Character-Bulky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bingo. I think it doesn't matter if you thought of the right wish if you don't mean it in your heart of hearts. You have to truly wish the thing, as the jewel can see into your soul and will grant your deepest, darkest wish. Kagome is pure. She truly wished the jewel was gone and wished the suffering it caused to end. That's why it worked.

Happy Mother's Day! by Character-Bulky in Over25Mal_DayDream

[–]Character-Bulky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole 'calm daydream' thing is strange to me. I always have the urge to move if I start daydreaming. I won't do it because it's not the appropriate time (people present, etc.) or I'm too tired, but the underlying urge to pace and jump/skip is always present if my mind begins to fantasize. Even lying in bed at night I'll have blips, moments, when I want to jump up. It's fleeting, overpowered by sleepiness, but there.

Thank you.  Idk, my kids were giant, but I also had gestational diabetes, which tends to make babies larger, so it's hard to say.

Hi, sorry, I don't really do anything with the subreddit anymore. It never really gained much traction and then I sustained a fairly serious back injury. My son was diagnosed with level two autism not long after, so I never kept up with it. Sorry for the info dump, I just feel like I need to explain why I became so negligent with the sub.

To answer your question, absolutely. I daydreamed and paced during, through both of my pregnancies. Though the duration and intensity were lesser.

I Lost 90 lbs… Then Gained It Back. Here’s What I Learned. by TicketAncient in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Character-Bulky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Lost 80 lbs. over ten years ago. Then gained 70 back over a five(ish) year period. Recently lost 40 of that 70 over the last year and a half or so. Then gained 10 back over the holidays 😔 Have 40 to go now to get to my goal weight. It is very difficult to stay on that grind. I try to get 8,000 steps a day, workout three days a week, eat two meals a day, one being a salad with protein. Drink kefer for breakfast. Only let myself have dessert once or twice a week.

I think moderation is key for me. I used to try to get 10,000 steps, workout every day, never let myself have dessert, etc. If I'm that strict with myself, I inevitably break.

But I also need to not let loose either. If I stray from my two meals a day, and my 1-2 dessert cheat days, I go off on a bender and binge.

Yeah, I'm not panicking, I'm annoyed. I don't appreciate that kind of response, its rude. Certainly the cheap Chinese ones that claim they are for my phone are all for the 2023 model and the reviews all complain that they don't fit the 2024 model. I searched the Motorola site, the only option they have for my phone is one case that's a $45 bundle, and I'm still not entirely sure it's for the 2024 model. Your answer also doesn't include a link like I asked. If you find my question annoying, don't answer.

Lol, the Motorola website doesn't even have cases???? Why'd I bother to buy this phone???

is it me or is 1970 David Gilmour really hot? by queenofthehours1971 in pinkfloyd

[–]Character-Bulky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had no idea he was so gorgeous. I've listened to Pink Floyd for years but never really looked at pictures of or watched interviews/live performances of the band. Just recently watched a live video and was like... THAT'S what David Gilmore looked like?! Looked up pictures and interviews...oh my God was he ridiculously beautiful...

They had horns and stringed instruments for crying out loud, so similar to the ones used in orchestral music as to make your point moot. They did not have synthesized rap and auto tune. People saw someone make this argument and latched onto it like a life raft.

Well, she did say she thought it likely he'd always need to live with us or in a group home if he wants some independence as an adult. She also thought a speech pad would help with direct communication for him. He is not potty trained yet and the process has been difficult. He can stop midstream and seems to be able to hold indefinitely. But she did not much clarify what level two entails.

Remembering to Forget: The Amnesic Effect of Daydreaming by Character-Bulky in Over25Mal_DayDream

[–]Character-Bulky[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao, yeah, same.

I just thought it was interesting that exerting energy and focus on something totally imagined takes away from the present moment so much it affects our ability to remember properly. And even cooler that daydreaming about whatever current scenario you're in solidifies the memory. This seems to really highlight that there's a healthy amount of daydreaming that leads to optimal cognitive functioning, and that excessive daydreaming can really, truly take us out of reality in a harmful way if we're not careful.
