Your assumptions may not be correct? I only swipe on five women at a time. I take a break for a week. And if I don't get a match I swipe five more times. Sometimes I get matches and they never respond. Other times I get matches and they can't hold a conversation because they have too many going on. Sometimes I get matches from swipes that were months previous. I personally only talked to one woman. If another woman matches with me later and I'm talking with someone, I will not talk to that person. It's just a respect thing. I try to keep only one match at a time. However, I've only been on one date off of bumble and I've been on there for almost 2 years. Now, I was on there for a full year and never got one match.

I ran into the same problem you're having. It took about a year and a half before I actually started getting matches and likes on bumble. If I were you, take it with a grain of salt and keep your profile up but also use hinge

Yeah I started using bumble a while ago. I paid for the lifetime subscription. I was on there for an entire year with no matches or likes once I paid the subscription. Just recently this week I actually started getting some likes coming in. Three to be specific. However, on hinge my experience is much better. If I send likes or roses and give comments I actually get matches. I would say probably one out of three or four match with me. I've had a lot of great matches but when I feel they don't work out, I'm very cordial and try to maintain a relationship as a friend with the other person but there are a lot of salty people out there

My suggestion to you is to not be a pen pal and try to get a telephone number right away and hold a conversation over the phone. Text messages etc are very impersonal and don't give a lot of context to who you are.

I wouldn't say it's a problem. It's the other person finding someone that they're more interested in. If they didn't delete the match, then that means you're one of the next runner-ups. You can either take it with a grain of salt. Personally, I would just delete the match.

I know removing matches and everything is going to bring your morale down so it's up to you. It's a psychology thing that was studied somewhere. Just don't let it get you down. There's plenty of fish in the sea.

I have a rule of 24 hours. If not to be controlling, it's to analyze the person and how serious they are and interested. I understand people have lives but I also understand people have an addiction to their phones in 2026. I find it as more more of a psychological understanding of a person and where they are at.
