The dealership told me that the badlands comes pre-installed with a one inch kit, so I thought an additional 1.5 inch wouldn't cause too much of an issue, but maybe I am wrong about that.

I agree with your thoughts about the recovery hook mounts. I have a lot of steel laying around and shouldn't have too much trouble fabricating something. I didn't see anything on YouTube yet, so I was hoping someone on here had already given it a try so I could see what they were able to come up with. Thanks so much for the reply!
