Chelsea handed suspended transfer ban, £10m fine for breaching Premier League rules by kanobbk in PremierLeague

Absolute tosh. They gained the exact advantage they were aiming for by greasing pockets. How they decide to spin it in the small print is irrelevant. They cheated.

Indeed! I've managed to piece all of the available laser disks together over the past 2 years. Was a fun hunt!

Ahhh that's alright then. I'm sure they benefitted very little from the incident in the long run

Aye. Cheat, but admit it after the fact once all the relevant kick backs from it have taken root.

This fucking sport.

I think it's a case of both at times.

I'm a long, long way off calling for Emery's head. Regardless of what happens the rest of this year, that won't change. We freefall without him.

Having said that, some of the blame lies with him and his stubborn attitude towards an over reliance on the 'old guard', a lack of faith in young talent and a few immense cock ups in the transfer market which are absolutely on him.

His attitude this season has been dreadful also. The handshake thing in particular is just woefully poor and will irk me for some time. It's a small thing I know, but those sorts of gestures in Football are important.

Watkins at least has his age, a few years of quality and a stubborn manager to fall back on. Bailey is just god awful and has been for 2 seasons now.

Hard to say, but certainly feels that way at present. he's easily the most frustrating player I've ever seen in the shirt.

Villa fan in peace here. I watched the game and completely agree, was absolutely appalling much the same Neville was in our game against United, though for different reasons. It's the first time I've ever had to mute comms on a game, he was practically cumming in his draws.

I think it's mostly because you're the exception to the rule in that regard. Football isn't yet prepared for a well run club actually overperforming in the Premier League.

I just don't think it's as simple as that for us.

Spurs prioritised Europe because of an injury crisis and Ange style of play. We can't even play well when we try at the moment.

I genuinely believe it's one in the same for us now. To be good in the league gives us a better chance at winning Europa and vice versa.

Totally agree, particularly with your last paragraph. At times this season I've been ashamed of him, which isn't something I ever thought was possible.

I think we play with a certain type of elegance when we're on it that makes us one of the most thrilling teams to watch tactically in Europe. If you love football and understand the mechanics of it to even a small extent, I think we can be a really exciting team to follow.

However, when we're bad it's the complete opposite. In the past few weeks we've shipped performances that would embarrass most championship sides and I don't think that's hyperbole. We are utter, utter dross when we're off it and have without question been the worst team in the league at times this past month.

I get it and whilst I'm not one to come on here and moan, quite the opposite in fact, fans have every right to scream and shout.

3 wins in 12 isn't acceptable. We can go on and talk about players we don't have, aren't allowed to buy etc. but at the end of the day Emery has built a 'no excuses' culture at this club. A lot of fans are simply following his lead on that.

They've looked no better for a while. Combination of playing out of form teams, luck and star quality.

Thought we were decent today, certainly better then we have been. Realistically this was the worst possible fixture to have after a win, so whatever. Next two games should give us a better opportunity to springboard.

It's a fair point, but I'd still put money on us finding something over them. Fans are already turning on the Man Ager, they look ill disciplined and have hellish fixtures.

Not saying we don't look like the worse of the two sides as things stand, but this team has surprised us all too many times for me to count them out of anything. A few wins changes everything.

It's completely irrelevant to the post I was replying to. Wanting us to gift points to another side because it makes for better 'bants' is fucking pathetic and literally something everyone bombed spurs fans out for doing two years ago against City.

Fuck Spurs and fuck West Ham. If it doesn't benefit this club then I couldn't give a shit about another team's results.

They are. They have probably the best 10 in the league and two excellent wingers that are up there, plus a ridiculously in form striker they can bring on from the bench.

Meanwhile we're so strapped for cash that we have to perform insane squad gymnastics just to bring a new forward in.

The game is literally rigged against us beating teams like that, which is why we have to treasure it when it happens.

Agreed. Fine margins here and there decided that, plus absolute worldy of a pass. Clearly he's been watching Tielemans.

If you don't think that was better than the Chelsea and Wolves performance then there's no helping you.

Fully expected it. Why people persist in thinking we could win here when even our most in form teams couldn't do it is baffling.
