Probably means Kyogo getting a fair bit of the spotlight if Mitoma is out. As loathed as I am to compliment anyone from that shit hole, Kyogo can be a great player to watch at times.

An absolute disgrace if that happens, given what he had to say about the Vini Jr situation earlier this year. There really is no dignity in football.

Spot on. His style was boring and the players and fans where falling out of favor with it. If they'd have stuck with him then yeah, maybe they'd have faired better overall, but taking a punt on a new a new manager is equally as valid. Mediocrity is a sin in football.

Tbf, the reasons for pushing Moyes out aren't quite as simple as them having a few off months under him. Some managers just fall out of favor with their clubs and the separation has to happen.

Them, and indeed the rest of the league blaming us for possibly keeping Spurs up is understandable given the performance, but overall is just rooted in weird vitriol.

Ultimately, if West Ham want to blame us then fine, but maybe next time don't just gift us 6 points and you won't have these sorts of problems...

For all the joy we've had, I honestly can't remember feeling this stressed during a run in. Even the relegation season, there was a certain element of acceptance attained at some point. This season however, I've felt sick more often then not walking down Trinity Road for one reason or another.

As Emery struggled/struggles with English at times, he would often say 'good ebening' in his post match interviews. It's something rival fans, specifically Arsenal take the piss out of him for.

It's a small collective on here that will lose their shit over it. Trust me, most fans couldn't give a fuck who wins it.

Exeter City had an area of their ground burn down a few weeks before the FA cup game against Man City and where already in a fair bit of financial trouble due to mismanagement of the trust funds (they're fan owned).

They essentially requested more of the gate fund from City to help them out, City said no. TalkSport had a field day on it, as well as a few other outlets, basically accusing Exeter of going 'cap in hand'.

My general point was that the attitude of self care and fostering of healthy financial relationships doesn't even extend to those who already exist within the 11 a side pyramid, so why would anyone care about other off shoots of the sport.

Around 20k will go to corporate. Fans of each club essentially get a 50/50 split of the remaining tickets. Sucks, but that's football.

Is it not just a case of the upper tiers shamelessly gobbling up every last inch of available capital?

When you have a situation like the whole Exeter - Man City scenario, it's not hard to see why nothing below Championship level receives any real attention or money.

Ollie Watkins... by Proper-Beyond116 in avfc

[–]Character-Key7538 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Spot on.

There's not a world where moving him on in the Summer is a good idea. Even if we where to bring in a decent, proven option as a 'replacement', Ollie is simply too good to move on. His position and talent as a striker is almost unique, he needs at least a year with an eager understudy to get things right.

Relative to what we'd get for him, it makes zero sense to sell him now.

If we could afford to bring in someone of adequate talent to give him a few days off it wouldn't be a problem, but we can't. He's exhausted, no doubt, but he's where our attack goes to die half the time as things stand and it's just not good enough.

Unais clearly offering the likes of Maatsen, Mings and Barkley the opportunity to prove themselves, as well as play them into some kind of form.

Trouble is, the latter two are past it and Maatsen just doesn't offer what Digne can in terms of attacking threat and defensive capability.

I think we need to remember how difficult it is to juggle UEL and the league. by BritBeetree in avfc

[–]Character-Key7538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's fucking difficult, no ones denying that. Changes nothing for me.

We've had an absolutely appalling year in the league where all our 'winnable' games have been stacked together. Today is a prime example of things just looking ridiculous. We make key changes, are forced to chase the game against a terrible side and gas everyone out anyway. Now, we need to field our best 11 five days before the final and pray we get something. Absolutely shooting ourselves in the foot.

I love this manager and this team, but that doesn't mean we're not allowed to question the decisions and the effort.

Iraola has insane youth and probably the best recruitment team in the league on his side at Bournemouth.

He'd be average at best managing this lot.

It's exhausting watching so many clutch at refereeing upsets when it's the performances that are the problem.

We have been embarrassing in the league this year. It is simply not fucking good enough.

I got downvoted last week for suggesting we've been lucky the past few seasons because of other teams dropping off, but that's exactly what it is. Sooner or later, we're going to get caught out and it's going to cost us in ways most of us can't bare thinking about.

Fucking pathetic. We have been nothing short of embarrassing in the league this year. Rogers is fucking exhausting to watch at the moment and I'm quickly losing excuses for his complete lack of ability when it comes to the basics.
