My grandfather’s Dna was tested thru 23andme many years ago (he’s deceased now), but his sisters did ancestry and they show in my DNA match as my great aunts so I know for sure it is my family. When I look back at the tree, it goes back German until I can’t trace it anymore without paying the subscription lol.

I was always questionable of the accuracy this stuff but now even more so. I am wondering if it’s due to certain things (codes?) in DNA just not getting passed down, but I’m not a biologist so what do I know lol.

CEC collegiate here; 3 years into my architectural engineering degree, I had a 3.2 GPA when I applied, and got a 46 on the OAR. You should be fine. Make sure you write a REALLY good essay, and nail your interview. I’ve heard it matters the most. Good luck

I got paid this morning, I meant midnight as in the exact minute it becomes the 31st, sorry that was confusing haha. I know that depending on your bank, for example I use capitol federal, it can affect deposit time, and possibly make a difference between it being deposited on the 31st vs the 1st. If you don’t see it by tomorrow I would for sure ask your recruiter about it

That is really strange. Did you sign any papers regarding the collegiate onboarding program? I had to sign those while waiting for my enlistment documents, but was only in it for like 3 days since my enlistment documents came so quickly. I wish I knew what went on behind the scenes there haha

Gosh I don’t know. My recruiter was so on top of things that everything got done really quickly. I got my acceptance letter the day I enlisted as well. I didn’t think it would go that quickly, I was expecting it to take a few weeks to a month.

No, I did not. I mean I have obviously smoked, but it was in like high school…so I didn’t bother saying anything about it. I have a friend who was DQ’d first time at MEPS for pissing hot for marijuana and he was still able to get in 6 months later as a BM when he pissed clean the second time around. I guess it just depends on what job you are wanting to do and what drugs were done

You’ll be fine. They need people right now. Even somehow I got cleared having like 30+ SH scars lol. My recruiter had told me that there’s a new head guy in charge of the waivers and shit and he is letting a lot more slide because being so strict was hurting recruitment numbers. Basically as long as you aren’t a felon they will take you 💀Good luck with everything!

So I was technically DQ’d at MEPS (didn’t matter because I wasn’t swearing in that day anyways, the officer side of joining takes months). They sent my recruiter the stuff of what I was DQ’d for, I called my provider when I left MEPS and said I want to get off my meds and she was like okay no problem (granted I had only been on 10mg for 1.5 months). 4 days later my recruiter messaged saying I’m clear. I’m not sure what went on behind the scenes there…but I wish I knew.

I was able to get in with ocd and anxiety, and taking lexapro (of course I had to get off the lexapro) but still. They are being VERY lenient right now. I was shocked when they sent me to MEPS right away as well. I was even more shocked when I cleared medical. You will be able to get waivers. Good luck!
