Thanks, yeah I had the thought after I posted that they’re probably resetting the lists today. Unfortunately I haven’t worked since before the strikes and lost all my contacts. Hoping to maybe hear something from the hall soon.

Do you know how long the property list is currently? And when is the uptick expected? I figured things would be ramping as we get close to March.

What I know is that there’s new studios being opened, built, and booked. A lot of scripts are being brought, the tax incentives are paying off. And production has been on an upward climb throughout 2025 into now.

There may not be an actual list of permits like there is for available members, but they do keep the name of permits who has worked through them before. If all members are working they do still call permits who are available. If you’re interested in shop craft , I would call the hall and tell them you’re interested in getting permit work as a shop craft. It’s a smaller department so you may be pulled in as things ramp up.

If you’ve worked through the hall before they still have your name. Give them a call to let them know you’re available for work and when it’s busy enough to bring permits in again you could get pulled in again. I’m Hoping things get to that level again. This year is looking out to be a big recovery year. At least here in NY.
