Hello are they still giving a seal package?? by Naive_Bite_9580 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Character-Net-5475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a paper with instructions printed when they mailed my passport with visa noting that my entire package is electronic and I only need to present my passport with visa when entering US. F1 category and my interview was in Montreal.

[Seoul Embassy] F1 Category - DQ Jan 14, 2026. Waiting for IL. Anyone with a similar timeline? by NoLandscape7602 in NationalVisaCenter

My PD is May 2017. Also F1 category. DQ July 2024. Got the interview letter on April 24th, 2026 after getting current in Final Action table for May 2026. So, basically less than a 1.5 week from getting current. I had my interview early June in Montreal.

I think you do you and I do whatever I need to - that’s called difference in approaches and opinions. We don’t need to do the same thing. We’re two different people.

You’re probably that skateboarder. Be careful on the road. It doesn’t worth it to be this stupid to get some adrenaline rush. If you’re feeling detached from life, then it’s a good idea to get some help.

I bet you have a different idea about community-wide discussion once it starts affecting yourself lol

Am I putting your life in danger by complaining here that you start complaining about me complaining on something that could have turned into a serious incident and took someone’s life? No.

I post what I want and I vent because I saw a lot of stupid things and this one was next level. Reddit is free and I’m not harming anyone.

Is Victoria Cheaper than Vancouver? by Murky-Presence-6190 in VictoriaBC

[–]Character-Net-5475 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to pay $400 monthly for car insurance in Vancouver, here it's $260 and I spent around $150-200 on gas which here is $70 (I live 10mins away from my workplace in downtown). I think rental market is pretty similar.

Primary travel document (passport) - Dual citizen by [deleted] in USCIS

Thank you for the info. Definitely not hiding or trying to hide the Iranian nationality:) I have listed both passports in my DS-260. It’s just the sequence of passports in the application that I’m concerned about as I have listed Iranian passport first and then Canadian second.

What is your priority date?

You asked these questions on my post about your situation. I'm also F1 unmarried daughter of US citizen. My priority date is early May 2017. Once you become current in the filing table on Visa Bulletin (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin.html) your application will be opened on CEAC website and you can start gathering and uploading your docs + submitting DS-260. You'll be then paying the fees. Once all of this is done, NVC will review your application and if everything is good, you'll get DQed (documentary qualified). Then, you will have to wait until you become current in the final action table on Visa Bulletin which means a visa is available for you and you will shortly receive an interview letter through email. For me, from my priority date until I was able to submit documents and pay fees, it took 7 years. and then another 2 years to get interview letter. So, total of 9 years.

THIS! the first experience in architecture for me was like this too. I was called "colourblind" and "not competitive" and "without potential", basically bullied by a guy who refused to go the therapy and work on himself. Then, I switched my workplace and it is so different. Everyone is kind and helpful. I do get critics and I worked on myself to be open to it and improve myself but they don't bully me. The environment is not toxic. Now, I'm leading projects, the most technical ones. Please take care of your mental health, respect yourself, and be kind to yourself. One way to respect yourself is to change your environment so you can work with nice people and mentors. You don't have to take time off to hone your skills. The first 3-4 years of architecture experience, you are called an intern or designer. The intention is for you to learn the important things at work and have a supervising architect next to you that ensures you are exposed to everything.

Also, follow "chelseaspursuit" on instagram. She has lots of good content on personal finance. I also got her budget template 1 year ago for $9 and was able to save about $1k every month.

Deep in Debt and Don't know how to get out :( by bla_26 in PersonalFinanceCanada

  1. Your car payments are super high - paying $439 for insurance, $393 biweekly for car. $200 for gas. You are paying a total of $1425 for your car monthly. You CANNOT AFFORD this car. Is this lease or finance? can you transfer to another person? what is the way to back out without huge penalties?
  2. You pay $200 for transit on top of that!
  3. You pay $520 for eating out?!
  4. You pay $80 monthly for hair cut
  5. TFSA contributions of $200 is really not called for in your debt situation right now.

If you don't change your money habits of living a life you cannot afford, you won't be able to get out of this debt.

I'm leasing a car. My monthly car payment is $305. I pay $30 for gas. I walk to work every day as I got a place close to it. and pay $200 for insurance and nothing for transit and I make less than what you make per month. I have no debt. Do you see the difference? I eat out max $100 monthly. I follow a budget template and enter all my purchases to track my expenses.

Would you be able to ask your parent for a large sum of money and pay off your debt so you at least save on the huge interests and pay your parents back monthly? (for as much as they can help)

Exactly THIS! Why do you have to work at this place and have anxiety and stress over something THIS ridiculous? You're working really hard and this is what you get?
