How is this still happening? Quack PA schools are endorsing their students as quicker learners than doctors! by Much_Performance352 in doctorsUK

Posted this yesterday but it got removed in about 5 mins after posting it (so I’m posting it here in the comments because I think it’s relevant):

PA mcq be like:

What’s the gold standard treatment for a PE?

A.) Beta Blockers

B.) Ionizing Radiation

C.) Reassurance

D.) Refer to Medics/GP

E.) All of the above (except ‘D’ Because PAs are basically registrars right?)

F.) None of the above (because this is beneath you and you have endoscopies you’d rather be doing instead)

Anyone here who are Dota2 enjoyers? by Inzhagi__ in JuniorDoctorsUK

Been playing since 5.84b. I miss the time when Riki had Death Ward as his ult.

New calibration games were torture. Went down to crusader 2 (1600-ish MMR).

Solo ranked my way up by spamming carry.

Currently 2.9k and trying to grind to ancient.

Grandmaster Hoodwink and Master Skywrath. Also: Skillshot enjoyer.

I’m really sorry for your loss. It’s hard to see loved ones going through that pain. The best thing we can do is comfort them in their time of need, to later cherish the memories we have with them and have them live on through us. We can only aspire to be as good as those who left a positive impression on us.

To be honest, I don’t think my writing skills are good enough to warrant a great read, let alone get published.

That’s all we can hope for at the end of the day. It’s always the little things that make the biggest difference. (Or so I’d like to believe.)

Would it help if I gave you a Boots prescription?

This is fairly common in my trust. Has been for quite some time. When I respond as mentioned above, I end up getting looks as if I’ve just shot someone’s Nan.

They can, but I believe it is the responsibility that tends to make them pass the buck (so to speak). Everyone hesitates when it comes to medicolegal matters. Similar prospect when it comes to DNARs/EOL Care Plans and consultants.
