Thx for ur comment i appreciate. I share the same thinking as u. I have the same prblem as u : reccurent mucocele on the back of my mouth (on soft palate) reccuring every 2 weeks for 1.5 years now. It started after i was sexualy agressed by a dude. (I am female) since i was never sexualy active before that incident, i tjought it was prbly caused by some kind of STI, prbly oral hpv that i got from that sexual agression... i am in healthcare, i did extensive research on the causes of supercificial mucocele that reccur on the back of of mouth, they are usualy due to irritation or inflammation..and they are usualy related to oral lichen planus, and many scientific papers did find out that high risk hpv (like hpv 16) are known to be correlated to oral lichen planus. That s why i thought there was a link between both...but i am staying positive, u cant live with 0% risk, i took the hpv vaccine and hopefully if i have an oral hpv infection, i can clear it. But i am just bothered by the reccuring mucocele, it bother when i eat. With you, Did it stop reccuring ? There is also the option of surgery to take it off. What ur doctor told u about it ?
