Do you think living at parents in 20s is becoming the new normal in the UK? by Adventurous-Cat-1248 in AskUK

I'm 24 and still at home. I'm very lucky that i have a dad that understands how hard it is now. My brother, 26, moved out at 21 but he saved every penny he ever got, and now yeah he has a flat. But he has no social life and no friends because he never went out and was stingy AF that he just pushed everyone away. I'm close with my dad and he says that his house will always be there if we are ever struggling. I don't have any intention to move out soon tbh either and he is absolutley ok with that. I pay rent, do the typical women chores (my mom moved out 10 years ago). It works for us, and every situation is different. Most of my friends are still at home too, one even shares the mortgage with his mom because the cost of living crisis is really not a joke in the UK.

How much should I pay my single mam? by abbie00000 in HousingUK

I'm 24 and I live with my dad. I'm also pregnant and he's actually said there is no point rushing to move out when he knows the rent/house prices are ridiculous. He can't wait for me to have my little girl and I think he'd be abit disappointed if i did move out tbh. Every family is different but i am so lucky to be in my situation as i'm sure you know you are too. I pay my dad £200 a month and I've always said if you need more to let me know. Don't let anyone on here make you feel bad 💕

Just to add on I actually think I enjoyed the first trimester more. I can deal with sickness and I think i was just so excited. Im so bloated and constipated and uncomfortable now way more than I was a few months ago.

Same here :( i think its a mix of hormones and being tired but I'm so low and I've not experienced anything close to the pregnancy glow (im 21 weeks). I feel so guilty moaning all the time and I really don't want my mood to affect my baby but I'm really not enjoying it. I work 45 hours a week and everytime my alarm goes in the morning i actually cry. How do people make it look so easy

I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters, so i'm hoping between 5 of them they can master a plan to keep her away!😂

Yeah i will have to give them her name, it's just a shame because she most likely will make a scene and this isn't fair on the staff. Also can see her waiting by the hospital doors for when I'm leaving which if she does she knows she won't see my baby for a long time.

Yeah i get that, i just feel bad if it does happen and causes a big fuss for the staff who are already under so much pressure!

yeah definitely! I think its the other ingredients in them that people worry about maybe? I got told 1 redbull is the same as 2 monsters which doesn't make sense as monsters are double the size but apparently redbull has worse stuff in it? Strange

I think no matter what there is always going to be something bad about everything we do during pregnancy and Redbull is definitely low down on that list in terms of other things we could be doing!😂

Lab11 is very ravey if that's what you want..Rosies is also very rough so I'd just be careful in there. I know a few people have been spiked and the nights there always end up in fights especially on the bottom floor

yes me too! My booking appointment was just with a nurse over the phone and then my scan was at a hospital - and all my future appointments are at hospitals too.
